Shiggityflip Hits The Brix - Growing Using High Brix Soil

First run soil fully cooked will be ok. I just sprouted 6 4Csins seeds by doing 24 hours paper towel and then planting in fully cooked soil with some Roots! Powder in the 1/2" hole where I put the soaked seeds. Laid sandwich baggies on top until the seedlings came up. Had a crazy occurrence this time. One of the seeds didn't crack. I went in and carefully squeezed the seed until it cracked open slightly and rewatered. It came up today two days later. Didn't expect it but you gotta love a miracle. Hopefully she will do ok. Gotta be like being buried alive in a nailed coffin!

Just start the seeds in solos or something small, and upcan into the cooked soil as soon as they're bound enough.

They'll explode with growth. :cheesygrinsmiley:

as you know..thats one of the most important words ...patience..

LOL, it's hard to turn the control over to the soil bots.

Yep. That's what I'd do. Start 'em in plain Promix. The beans will take a month or so to get rootbound in cups. By then both they and the soil will be ready to RnR.

Stage, I'm not quite ready to go organic just yet. Too much riding on the next 2 grows. Counting chickens... I know.

I will just sit in the corner and watch how you guys do it. :thumb:

6-11 days on Huck Kush, 11-15 days left on Agent Orange. Did a light cat drench for the Agent Orange. GE for the rest. All got tea. I am seeing a mini surge on pistils on the AO and to a lesser extent on the other plants. Temps getting warmer outside so a little heat stress. I raised the lights a bit. Need to order that AC!
I'm getting very excited. things are finishing nicely and I am very proud of these girls.

Wonderful, Shiggs!!

You seem to have a handle on hi brix. I've seen a few hi brix grows have PH lockout. Are you checking your PH when hydrate your plants. I Know that brix is billed as having no PH requirements but I've seen issues in some gardens. Nevertheless, keep up the good work.

Cheers

It kills me that growers drop crazy money on lights and nutes only to have the whole grow taken down by $10 PH pen. Your tap is not to bad. My city keeps tap at 8, lots of lockout in my town

Cheers

You can't alter the pH of this soil. :cheesygrinsmiley: Wayyyyy too much limestone in it.

Over time ... months and months ... very hard water can slowly throw the mineral balance off and raise the pH, but otherwise you can dump all the pH up and down you want into the pot and the soil will shrug it off and return to its own pH.

Damn Shigg, those are such beautiful plants. You take some decent pics as well.

I look forward to your smoke report on the hibrix girls vs chem girls.

My my those are some frosty gals. You may have been too something when you said have credit card handy  I may have to look into that for a future grow.

I saw where you commented on your water being 7.0 to 7.2 PH.. I know where I live the PH changes depending on the time of the year and I mean a lot. When I grew out doors last summer it was coming out of the tap at 6.5 right now it comes out at 7.2
