Shiggityflip Hits The Brix - Growing Using High Brix Soil

yes...you want root bound when you transplant. :)

.unless you do 'modular'...inserting a small softee into a larger pot of soil with the smaller fitted into it. :)

Ok now this confused me a bit, I was always under the impression you wanted to have the plants roots to reach the outer edge of the pot and begin to wrap around the container, then transplant right before the plant can become root bound. What did I miss? I know I missed a bunch because of life and work, was there a class on roots I missed?

I usually follow Docs' tutorial for tranplanting; score my roots with sharp knife, dust with his Kits' ingredient, Roots!, transplant .etc..

Sue thank you so much for that. It really really means a lot. I am thankful that on this forum I get to share all of this adventure. It's really what was missing all these years. Back in the day people would see and smoke your stuff but we all know there is so much more than that. I really enjoy the fact that there are people that would want to emulate what I do. That is the sincerest compliment really. And I am inspired by old and new growers alike. I like to think that there is one perfect lesson each grower has to teach me. And it is my job to find that and incorporate it. Then share it with all. My short time here has brought the most rapid improvement to my grow than I ever had before. Even when someone documents a failure. Heck that may be the time I learn the most! And thanks for enjoying my lil prank!

I've actually been considering this possibility Ziggy. Would you think the one gallon to be a minimal size or do you think something about the size of an azalea pot would work? I can make my own. I'm getting ready to start the next batch in about a week.

for modular'? any size...but a larger smaller into larger bottom will grow huge plants if youre vegging your small pot.

Maybe "root bound" is not the correct term. I don't want them like my Pitbull, but I want good root development all the way around the cup so that all the "soil" stays intact when removed. Then the scoring loosens the roots up so they play well with the new soil.

Getting closer but Huckleberry Kush still a mix of cloudy and clear and Agent Orange has a bit more clear than that. Just a big Pic upload, enjoy! I can't believe the trichomes keep coming!:Namaste:

:laughtwo: I was just sitting here thinking those same words when I came across this post. Lol!

Following this one. Curious as to what Destress is. I'm guessing it's for the clones, but what are it's benefits?

Canna the destress is a foliar in DocBud's high Brix soil growing kit. It is intended to provide micronutrients and help the plant come back to a healthy aspect when under stress. The instructions for Doc's Kit are right in my sig and this leads you to a good point to start reading Docbuds thread. His system is the easiest funniest way to get great organic high Brix produce.
