Been a lil busy guys.. sorry i haven't updated.. any how im starting week 6 of flower tomorrow.. the girls seem to be doing just fine, tho some of my leaf edges are starting to get just slightly browned.. dont know if its my nutes are a lil hot or not but ive been feeding fox farms trio at their scheduled rate so i backed off a bit to see what happens.. either way they are starting to put some sugar on and the buds are as dense as rocks!! i cant wait!! im getting close now!! i also placed an order Saturday for a new piece of glass, a lil disapointed that it didn't ship yet but im sure it will go out monday.. i did call them friday and ask them if they ship out on saturday and the girl said as long as i placed the order early enough it would leave saturday so i placed the order within their first hour of being open and never got an email with my tracking number so i assume it didnt leave saturday.. I have no patience.. lol.. i wish you could order things online and they come within a few hours.. picked up a 16 inch double honeycomb perc with a vortex splash gaurd as well as a double honeycomb ash catcher from maxqualityglass.com.. got the package deal for $106 usd with priority shipping.. should be here by friday and cant wait to rip it!! enough blabbering and onto the pics...

Question for you guys and gals.. what tool do you guys prefer for checking trics? 30x jewelers loupe or a higher powered pocket microscope..?

Havnt got a lap top so just went with a powered stand alone 60 - 100 x pocket mic. I use it on 60 and that works great . Takes a little practice to keep it steady to see really well - $10 ebay.

Yea I was leaning towards 1 of those.. but that was my concern trying to hold it steady enough to focus it in..

Happy growing.I also had problems viewing my trichome state of readiness, Plants are dancing too much in the fan wind.
I cut off a sugar leaf from several locations on my plants, Take the samples to my desk and sit down and inspect their readyness.
my last grow i was looking for 10-15% amber. Is that a good number ?

Reckless i just switch mine to 60 x and set the focus - doesn't need to be moved so makes it easy. Focusing/inspecting at the same time would be very difficult - probably need 3 hands.
CG i just hang onto a leaf so it is steady and inspect - 10 - 15 % should get you "comfortably numb" - the more amber the more couchlock

I wound up picking up a cheap 60x-100x microscope.. it took a lil bit to get the hang of it but that's what I did.. set to 60x and focused it and just leave it there.. I'm at almost all cloudy trics so I'm getting close! I'll update tonight with some more pics but they are looking tasty!

Well guys here we are nearing the end of week 7 of flowering and the ladies look great!! All trics are cloudy and I've been giving just plain water for the past few days! I seriously can't wait for the big chop.. I almost cut a branch off last night but I restrained myself to give them enough time to flush and fully rippen up.. the tallest 1 in the back is about 1-2 weeks behind the rest and is gonna take a couple weeks longer..
Those are some really nice looking girls!

Thanks canna.. the smell is heavenly.. 2 out of the 3 that are the same strain look and smell the same kinda earthy with a lil spicy smell but the 3rd looks quite different and smells like lemon fruit loops! All 3 of those seeds were pulled from the same bag of bud.. interesting how it so different from the others..

ok guys... im sorry i havent posted any updates in a long time, honestly i got kinda lazy keeping up with the journal.. however i have been taking pics through out the rest of my grow and now I am now completely finshed with this grow..! Im pretty pleased with my results, but i definitely see where the mistakes i made hurt my overall results. I learned so much on this run and cant wait to make some changes and try to increase my results further on the next run..
So what did i learn..??
First and foremost i learned was DO NOT harvest even a little bit early. I harvested my plants at different times.. The first plant i harvested at the end of week 8.. I thought i was pretty much done enough, all trics were cloudy and i was thinking ill chop this one with all cloudy trics now then i harvest the rest with 25% or more amber trics in like another week (when i thought they would be done) and compare the different highs just to see what the difference was. But i learned that just cause the trics were cloudy doesnt mean it was even close to done.. i got 33ish grams dried and cured from the 8 week plant which was my second largest plant.. but the other 2 that i let go for 10 weeks, holy shit what 2 more weeks will do! by middle of week 10 the buds were so much more swollen and hanging towards the ground. I got 28.2 grams dried and cured from my smallest plant which was half the size of the plant i harvested at 8 weeks and only got 32.8 grams from..!
Also i had some calmag deficiency and a bit of ph problem that definitely hurt my over yield but thankfully i made it through to the end with what i think it a decent result.
the weigh in dried and cured
Plant 1 8 weeks-32.8g
plant 2 10 weeks-28.2g
plant 3 10 weeks-57.5g
plant 4 11 weeks- 24.1g
total of 142.6g= 5oz 2.6g
Not bad for my first time growing indoors... these pics are all from pretty much my last post till now so ill try to upload them in the right order but enjoy!! oh yea if a mod could please move this to completed journals cause this grow is done!!! thanks everybody here at 420 for the plethora of information!!
