Wow... it sounds like they don't respect anyone around there, even you and certainly not your wife. It sounds like the same disrespect that is being shown by management to the employees is being shared by the workers with each other, and that makes for a very toxic work environment.
Trust your gut my friend, and it sounds like it is telling you to get out of there. There are lots of jobs out there these days... find a better one. Go into stealth mode, and do this looking on the side. Get a good offer in front of you, get the wife on board with the idea, and go in one day with a big 420 smile and tell them to all go and shove it. Imagine how good that will make you feel!
Good luck on the quest... change is hard, but sometimes it is necessary.

Nice Emilia I basically run this company. I’m a otr and mining specialist. I have more certifications then fingers. class a cdl and I’m certified welder so I have plenty of options. But I’m faithful to my crew. But a crew with no faith makes for a ugly place to work. I’m young and there all old so from the beginning they never respected me. I’m just some young ass hole to them. Las Vegas people suck.

I am with you on the screw people in general. The office food situation is ridiculous. It's been the same at most companies that I have worked at. Funny thing is I have dietary restrictions so I am careful what I eat. I always contribute but I take my own lunch and eat at my desk listening to everyone complain about how rude the others are while they are acting the same way.

Sometimes one of the uppers at my company will bring in lunch for the staff, but we know who the horders are by now and steer the food away from them...then we hide the leftovers! A few bad ones can spoil the whole party, or make it better because we can play keep-away .

My favorite job was rebuilding horsetrailers strip them down sand blast them paint and alot of sheet metal work it was just me and the owner I ran the shop and he ran the office got really good at welding and painting then I started building racecars at night and there went all the money I was making
