This last cola's a club! Getting some nice color!

It’s right in the middle of everything so I can’t get closer to it but she’s a beauty for sure. It’s the main stem cola from the taller sativa hybrid. Surprisingly I had to secure that one with a yo-yo as well, even with it being on the main stem and super cropped. I can’t wait to see what it looks like cured.

+59 swell and smell. Buds are swelling to incredible sizes. Weights are becoming so heavy on some I’m either gonna have to readjust or add in additional supports. It stinks now however I’ve become nose blind to its intensity. I now have 5 fans in the room, 2 oscillating fans, 2 clip fans, and one base fan. I can’t touch anything without getting sticky. I may have underestimated the amount of jars and Bovedas I’ll need. I installed the AC unit to keep temperatures down. I think I’m gonna switch to 11/13, I haven’t decided yet, weather is really wacky these days.

I went over to turkey bags and 5 gallon pail liners. Garden is on fire!

let me know how this works out for you. I clearly am going to have to choose a different route otherwise I’m going to have way more jars than I want, or I’m gonna have to spend a bunch of money buying the bigger ones

Snapped my first darkness shot with flash.. I’m gonna need some practice doing it, I felt rushed like I didn’t want to cause unintentional light poison and didn’t get a very good angle

I don't think that errant light causing hermies is an instant thing, but more about duration. And, assuming you are on 12/12 for flower, you've got plenty of time to work with since the uninterrupted darkness requirement is actually well less than 12 hours.

Growers often do 12 of darkness to be safe, but I think the actual number is more like 10.5 to 11 hours of darkness.

Flip +60 fast pics.. Harvest is coming.. red hairs outnumber the white on two of the plants 70/30 red/white. On the larger sativa lean it’s about 40/60 red/white. I’ll be checking trichomes today and start planning my takedown.

Looking nice my friend and you think you have wacky weather? We have been breaking records daily with temperatures in the 80s and tomorrow it’s supposed to snow ❄️ with nighttime temperatures in the 30s. Fn crazy Chicago weather. CL🍀:rofl::rofl::cheesygrinsmiley:

Yep same here, I’m in Detroit so pretty similar just a day behind. If it comes over the lake right (or wrong) though it turns into some nasty weather.

Yeah that lake makes for some loco weather, it’s sometimes as much as 15 degrees difference by the lake and then I’m sure you know about the lake effect snow. But you never know what the weather is going do. They try to forecast it but I think it’s all wishful thinking 🤔. CL🍀

Then it crosses Lake Huron and hits us, lol!

I can only imagine.. it’s one thing to come over one lake and hit us but to have the power to go over two very large lakes.. you must get slammed.. we’re sort of nestled in the middle so while we get hit pretty hard I imagine it’s nothing like being on the front end or back end of it when it’s really nasty.

Performed a takedown today.. Caught a couple stamens on one I was already iffy and planning to go at within the next few days.. I’ll do a more elaborate breakdown once it’s all squared away.. I started looking at the rootball and am super excited.. this plant was my lowest performer and it looks top notch.

Harvest part 1 hung up.. sitting at an average of 60F and 50rh.. 26 colas harvested.. due to stamens and still growing plants I had to take a branch at a time instead of chopping the whole plant and hanging it, didn’t want to risk pollinating with a sinsemilla growing. I’ll get weight from it when it’s ready to cure.

There’s an 80F degree day coming so they may get moved to my refrigerator for a day of drying, we will see what happens. I don’t want to exceed 68F during my drying as this is the temperature certain terpenes will begin breaking down. I expect they’ll dry faster not being hung with the whole plant though, so we’ll see what happens.

Sinsemilla still growing and chunking out lovely. No signs of pollination, lots of weight still left to be put on, she isn’t even fully into her resin production yet with the growth still occurring. I’m checking the second plant for stamens and if I locate them it’s coming down as well. I’ve got cloudy and amber trichomes all over the 2nd so I’ll still be pleased even if it has to go before I’d like it to.

Week 10 begins. There’s still a lot of chunking, and lots of trichomes. Looking at the hairs still getting pushed out, it looks like this plant may have two weeks still left on it at least. I’m gonna check the trichomes today and see what they’re looking like and I’m hoping I won’t see much amber. I would like to let this plant flower as long as she likes but I don’t want a couch lock high and I don’t want to risk her herming. She still has plenty enough leaves to continue but they are all beginning to lighten up.

Wont let me edit my post for some reason.. Oh well.. Here’s the second plant taken down, 22 colas

I found a couple stamens on this one as well so I chopped her down. She already had a good mix of cloudy and amber trichomes so I wasn’t too upset and was already planning on 9ish weeks on it. It was the same process with this plant, chopping each branch off and carefully removing it. Once it was all removed I took a few bigger leaves off each cola then hung them up. For reference, the area the plants are hanging in is 24 inches in height from top to bottom.

Here’s a shot of the second plant hung for drying:

I have 2 fans blowing air through the drying area. They’re aimed just under the branches so they’re not directly blowing on them but have enough gust to gently sway them. The RH is a little low for my preference but I’m working with what I’ve got, and averaging about 61F and 50 rh
