Mr. 9-Milly Attempts Autos Again

I've been following the "vacay house grow" over in your journal. Let's just say... if I'm ever headed that way on vacation, I'd be trying to rent that place. Talk about ambiance!
Yes, it is pretty sweet to look out onto a snowy pasture while enjoying the warm embrace of flowering cannabis!

A few summers ago it was "hip" to have far dinners inside the hoop houses which grew the vegetables on the table  ...it would be much cooler to do that surrounded by cannabis bushes! Which is actually an interesting benefit of autos...most people visit here June-Sept....so all they see is veg plants...autos allow people to see a full flowering plant in the middle of the summer under sunlight. The hard thing is to get an auto to grow as big in sunlight compared to 18/6. I tried last summer in 10g's and they got tall, just not as bushy as I hoped.

Things seem to be progressing as they should... 5 out of the 6 beans were split open with decent tap roots started. I moved them into the cups this morning.

Set them up in the closet, for now. Jolene is still chugging along in the shed. I'm not expecting her to last more than a week or so... I'll be moving the seedling out asap.

Since the Dreamberry seed looks like it's not gonna split, I dropped a replacement. Just in case...

I'm trying to keep from dropping seeds with long gaps between. I'm trying to keep this group on a tight schedule. The longer these run, the longer I'll have to wait til I can drop my photoperiod group this summer.

Stay lifted y'all

I just thought of this, I should have snapped pictures of the depth I planted them...
:ganjamon:

I use my pinky nail as my gauge. Generally about 1/2" below the surface, with loose coco sprinkled over the top. I had already soaked the coco in the cup, but the loose coco I sprinkle over, to bury them, is actually dry. So, I mist the top of the cups with a spray bottle. This helps to keep the surface a bit softer. Seeds seem to like it when they don't gotta fight to get out. LoL
About 10-15 sprays per cup with a little sprayer bottle. Easy peasy.

I'll continue watering them this way until they have enough root to water with running water. Around 10-20 sprays per cup daily, depending on the environment.

They will also stay in that dome until they are about a week old. Then I will start removing it for several hours a day to acclaimate the seedlings to the dry air. After a week of temporary exposure, they are generally solid. I'll take off the lid & let em rip.

Awesome. Where you from? You had blue cheese before? If done right shes beauuuutiful
1 Northern Lights(tri’s just started turning cloudy) my intent was 3. I had 1 dead seed, and 1 that perished shortly after putting in soil( maybe my fault, maybe not). I also have 2 Blue Dream photos. My next grow will be Blue Cheese autos.

Feel free to share pics of the NL auto! I love seeing other's bud porn.

I hail from W. Mich. G.R to be exact. I have tried Blu Cheese a few times and love the buzz. I still have at least 1 1/2 month before I start them. The Blue Dreams are only 3 1/2 weeks into flower

A fellow Michigan grower! Always a pleasantry. Only 1.5 hrs south of ya! Nice plants as well!

No sprouts yet.... but here's a little sneak peek. The prospective seedlings were moved out to the shed yesterday.

The temps in my closet kept trying to push into the upper 80's. I moved them out so I can control their environment better. If they actually sprout and start stretching too much, from Jolene's 12/12 lights, I'll reassess. But... I'm guessing Jolene will be cut before the autos even find the light. LoL
:nervous-guy:

I think these autos are gonna really enjoy the upgrades!

Oh.... if anyone was actually wondering; I checked the calendar. Critical + (Jolene) is on day 58 flowering.

If I could ask your opinion, and about your exhaust set up there? I assume you have a carbon filter going on somewhere in the temple. How do you let the exhaust air out? I’m exhausting up to my attic and the duct would be just open. Is that bad? Do you add some sort of filter on the out-end? I’d want critters to stay out.

I'm in a sealed room right now, so my carbon filter & fan just run as a circulator/air cleaner.

I had it vented out of the shed at one point, but it kept sucking out all my A/C and raised temps.

But.... to keep critters out of that opening, and the 2 drains that come out of my floor, I put a tube sock over the ends. Stretched em out, slide over the end, then duct tape around the ducting.

Lol, nice! Will that impede the power of the fan? I read the carbon filter already knocks it down like 30%
