The cuts in the cloner went a little too long and the roots got more mature than I like so I threw em out. My new schedule calls for cuts being taken on every 1st so I got time

The trial with giving them a super light dose of bloom food worked, they didnt look so harsh after ten days

I wanted to show how the fans look that I take off to give the lowers more light. I dont like taking off the small fans, not sure why just how I am I guess

Alright life is calling and I gotta answer so I'll take more pics and update soon.

Here is a pic of the 249 dollar portable air conditioner that is $aving my a$$ lol.

Hey s1ingblade, can you tell me how you have that air con set up? Is that a TWO hose or ONE hose exhaust? I am looking for a TWO hose that won't leak air out of the growroom, so I can use it with CO2. From what I have read my only option is a mini split?

s1ingblade, I envy you! You have so much going on it looks so fun. Like you, I only remove the big fan leaves as well, and sparingly. I tuck them down if possible. I have a few more questions for you if you don't mind,

1. In this picture, what size is that airpot?

DSCN9942.JPG

I am running 5 gallon buckets full of grodan gro-cubes. I get pretty good penetration into the gro-cubes, but when I harvest, I still see tons of roots circling in the buckets AROUND the gro-cubes. I had made a DIY 5 gallon bucket airpot but I knew it wasn't the same as a real air-pot. When I read your thread last weekend, I got inspired so I ordered a few of the 5.6 gallon airpots. I just transplanted today. I am really looking forward to seeing if they make a difference. I have read many good things about them but nothing with gro-cubes.

2. Have you ever seen anyone use these air-pots with grodan rockwool gro-cubes?

3. Do you think the 5.6 gallon is big enough for a 12 oz plant? I use beneficial tea and this plant was already nearly root bound in a 3 gallon pot, and I still have two more weeks of veg to go.

Thanks, and I look forward to the rest of your thread.

Both of my portable a/c's are running only one hose. The bigger 14K BTU is a two hose but the techs at their website recommended only running the one hose? The 2nd smaller 8K BTU portable only has one hose. I would think on the bigger one that running both would make it better for a sealed room type install but I dont know that much about it and when I explained a little about what it was going to be used for the tech right away said use the single hose install and put the intake filter deal on, so I did.

what did you throw out? doode i would have taken 1 or 5! pleas say not gsc...i neddz me a cut o dat bfam, ooh oo oo and bay11 too ,you still have a bunch of coco blocks? pm me the flowers look sticky n sexy me want ug! ug!:high-five:
I still have all the strains all I threw out was a few extra clones that I had no room to keep, it did hurt watching them vaporize in the burn barrel. I will pm you the rest beam

The plants in the pic were in the 5 gallon air pots, no on seeing anyone use the cubes but I think it would be nice and neat and less messy that the coco, as for getting twelve zips from a 5 gallon I dont know? Sounds like bigger would be better but if your talents where it needs to be it might be do-able, sorry I cant give you a better answer. I was watching reruns of BReaking BAd the last few days as I was trimming cause I like trimming to shows that I know well so I know whats going on just by listening lol. Great username and great avatar. Pinkman is most def. my favorite. Cant wait for the season to start, I think this year is going to be the last, bummer.

Hey buck, congrats on the title bro. Yeah too many plants for the space I had so I had to destroy close to 20 fully rooted clones. Up side is the mothers are still alive and I am getting pretty confident in my aero cloning skills so another ten days is all it waill take to get more. I wish I could have done what I am doing with the "Cookies" with the OG and run multiples to see which pheno is best. I have another single seed promo of OG Kush this ones I am growing is from Reserva Privada, the other seed I am thinking of trying is from HSO Humboldt Seed Organization.

Oh Yeah I almost forgot the Admins here at 420mag.com asked me to make sure to use only Cookies and not the full name as its not appropriate. So from now on the hopefully thin mint pheno will only be reffered to as "Cookies"

So I dont know how acurate my scale is but the 4 OG's in 5 gallon airpots from the pics netted me approx 120G's, a lot lighter than I hoped and I will check it against my small jewlers scale and see if it's actually higher (I hope) I know that yields will increase once my better room is up and running and I am finally able to run them on gas. My CO2 Generator is water cooled and I bought the small heat exchanger that is supossed to take off the last bit of heat? I will make sure to show all yall how and when I hook it up and well see how much of a difference it is and if it's actually worth burning the Propane and running the A/C's harder. I am hoping it's going to be a case of you get what you pay for? We'll See. If anyone here remembers a month or two ago, my 16 year old daughter ran away from my ex-wives place, we'll she returned home a few days later thankfully but now she has become a casualty of this rediculous war on drugs and is being held in a juvenile detention center and I am so bummed that her mother was allowing the things she was. If only I had a time machine. So sorry for the lack of updates and being here more I really miss you guys and gals but with the harvest and all the BS life is throwing at me right now I just dont have the time I used to. I will do my best to continue to post and update.
I hope all of you have a nice Memorial Day Weekend. My 19 year old son who luckily came back from the EX is graduating High School Tonight and I am so pleased that he chose to straight and narrow and is no longer running wild.

Yo Cap'n I wanted to pm you but you need 50 posts so I will just tell ya here. I like the airpots BUT am going away from them for a couple of reasons: 1 is the built in fox holes for my enemy the fungus gnats. They just run into and hide in the holes lol. The other thing is with the coco coir mix I use the coir falls out and makes a huge mess that not easy to clean up once the plants are flowering and under the nets. I am currently flowering in grow bags and that tray is so much cleaner. I am getting ready to switch to 5 gallon smart pots. Got em for 5.29 shipped on the big auction site. I do like the air pruning and hear alot of good results with the smarties so I figured I would give em a try. If they do well I will keep using them if not than I will go back to the bags. I think if someone was using the cubes like you or hydroton the air pots would be sweet but for me its just making things a little harder on me and I got it hard enough right now so on to the smarties for me.

Dude I love the avatar and username lol. My favorite show by far. Too bad tuco didn't stick around woud've liked to see what that crazy bastard would have come up with. Guess it wasn't int he plans. All I have is the 1st five episodes downloaded to my macbook and have watched them over and over this last week. lol I think I have em memorized. I love the netflix I have at home and my tv has a wireless card so I can watch all the way to season 4. What is it this year season 6 and the end I think.

Hey s1ingblade, I am really loving the gro-cubes. In my journal I am about 2 weeks away from harvesting a plant grown in 3 gallons of gro-cubes (flood and drain). I have been growing AK48 this way for a few months and I get around 8oz per plant. Now I'm growing the ACE and I know I'll get more, just not sure how much! I have never had an issue with gnats or any kind of pests so I am really lucky there. I'm sure I will benefit from the airpots, because when I harvest and look at the root ball, the roots are circled up really bad in the 3 gallon pots. I can see how they would allow more access for gnats though. Cost is not an issue for me because I only flower a couple at a time.

Breaking bad is my favorite. I too can't wait for the rest of the next season, and yeah, I think this will be the end. If you liked Breaking Bad, you should watch another one of my favorites, which is Six Feet Under. You can pick up the seasons really cheap on ebay. Like BB, just when you think things can't get any worse, they do!

Back to your journal. The bud porn is great. Those are some frosty nugs! And that cloner is really sweet. As far as the smart pots go, I have used them but the roots embedded into the fabric, and when I moved to a bigger pot I damaged roots, and it was a big mess. But they do prevent circling. I guess I shouldn't use them until I am done transplanting. Just use regular pots and then move to the 5 gallon fabric pots for flowering. The 5 gallon pots my local store has are too short and wide. I like a little height on em.

:thumb: Keep the updates coming, I look forward to them and I learn something every time you post. Thanks.

as far as I know this is the only dual air a/c out there that will not create negative pressure. They are designed to be used in sealed rooms with co2:)

Hi Jon, thanks for the input.

It is funny you should mention this Ideal-air unit. I actually called this company a month ago, and told them I was interested in this particular unit for use in a sealed room for Co2. He said this unit is not sealed, and air (co2 and odor) from the room will leak out. He said I would need to go with the next model up ($3000) or a mini split. :-(

Did you hear otherwise on this particular unit or are you using it?

That being said, maybe the $500 idea air unit you is "good enough" for our purposes? I donno. Most people don't want any odor leaking out. I also read in another thread where a guy says the Sunpentown WA-9040DE 9000 BTU won't leak, but I haven't got confirmation on that.
