As a general rule, I believe with autos, your "real" race is to day 21. Most autos will start flowering at around that time. The goal should be to have the plant as large as you can by that point. I love cfl and fluoros for vegging autos. I use alot of them. During veg, you want to keep about a 2:1 ratio of high kelvin to low kelvin. So for every 2 - 6500K, you want 1 - 2700K. This should be reversed approximately 2 weeks after seeing the first white hairs. These are some pics of my CFL and Fluoro "tunnel".

Hi Snid,

I'm trying to apply what I'm learning here - I did some LST to my Narcotic Kush Auto today. I used one wire to bend over the top and then I put another wire around the base of the stem as an anchor. Does it look ok?

Impressive outcome Dan, very nice. It's important to top early and it's even more important to know your strain. I'm glad you shared some insight with us. Thank you,

That was LSD-25 from Fast Buds via: Herbie's. She was a deep crimson with touches of purple. I loved to bump her on purpose and smell my finger ..... her turps were a combination of melted chocolate and lemon Pledge, no shit!! She was all indoor under only CFL's ...I wonder what she could have done with the LED I have now or any combo of ballasted bulbs Here is her posing for the camera:

Autoflower - Green Crack Trials - Second Attempt With Autos
I need to grow this <3

Ok, in my room I have never been able to run over 600w because of heat. So I have added an air conditioner, now I can run 1000w and stay around 82° F. I noticed last night my leafs are curling, I would think it's just from the intensity of the light. So should I lift the light or just drop to 875w?

I keep my 1k at about 24-30 inches above the canopy. I also have clip fans to move the air from below the light so the plants don't mind the heat. My tent averages 88° with the lights and AC on. I say add a clip fan, but to answer your question. Raise the hood. Your 1K light is plenty strong. A little extra height won't hurt. Then again curling leaves can come from over/under watering for conditions also. Hope this helps.
