Bassman59's Revenge of the Clones! 600w Pro-Bloom LED - RDWC - Grow #2

Those look great Bass!!! I am surprised at the duration for you. I am at 39 days and they are looking like flush will come next week and harvest the top 1/2 the week after for me. I was told a 5-6 week flower on these spoetniks.
keep up the awesome job!!!

From Nirvana: Flowering period: 7 - 9 weeks

Now if we define flowering period as when the first short hairs show, then that will be some 10-12 days after switching to 12/12. The days before are transition period.

If we go by from the point of switching to 12/12 as defining Flowering Period, then I'm overdue.

In the end, I'll go by trichs and try for about 25% amber or so I think. I'm still kinda unsure on best timing.

Good job Bass! You have a forest going there!

Nice job letting them go till they are ready, let em bulk up, and get sticky!

Nothing finishes in 35-42 days. Not to its potential at least.

Keep up the awesome work! :peace:

Bassmans Beauties,,,

They look great!! Really good job :thumb:

I'm unsure too...about optimum harvest times, I just took 4 of my Wonder Woman and put them in the dark, will be cutting them tomorrow sometime. 4 more next week. I'm just experimenting a little to see if an extra week makes a big difference

:peace:

Hey Bassman, I cannot argue with your results...they are definitely there and astounding at that :) I would however recommend that you change your reservoir. Did I read correctly that you have just been topping off with nutes and water? Plants use different nutrients in different amounts during their growth cycle and some can possible build up while others may be used creating a possible cation/anion imbalance. But like I have observed, your plants are ROCKING!!! Damn fine job :high-five::bravo:

I totally agree Corey. Again though, it's because of having 3 plants in small 3.75" netpots on each lid to the tubs. They are not stable enough to pull the lid and set on a backup tub without falling over and being damaged. Originally I had planned on transplanting these girls into a better situation, but $$ was just too short when it came time to do so.

Fortunately, my next grow is in seedling stage now in 5 gal buckets and I'll be able to do it properly. While I still have to get some things and prepare the Recirculating part of that DWC when I move those girls it won't be an issue to handle and changing weekly will be easy and the norm again. As is changing the water on them now in individual buckets.

Here is a piece of gold:
1" Bulkhead Fitting Thread x Thread Aquarium and Pond | eBay

I absolutely LOVE these things. They are aquarium bulkheads and are very cheap.

I have used these in many gardens and will use them in my outdoor veggie grow this spring and summer. I just drill a hole at the bottom of a tote or 5 gal bucket and fasten them in the bucket or tote. I glue some pvc pipe into it and install a small pvc valve that I can open and close. That way I can drain my solution into the grass. Close the valve and refill. You can also attach a pvc male end which would allow you to screw a garden hose to it so you can direct teh water where you want it if indoors. It helps of the container is elevated, that way you can drain ALL of the water out using gravity.

Nice Corey.

I can't elevate really, not more than a cpl inches anyways. But something to think about. Maybe attach pump to pvc and drain plug, pump 15' to bathtub. thar's an idear!

aqua jet 1300 pump is what I use. I have drains at the bottom of my 5 gals. Hook the pump up and suck it all out in about 2 minutes maybe less. Then i mis a batch of nutes in a seperate bucket submerge the pump and pump the new nutes back into the bucket with the plant in it. I add a fill spout to the lid to accomplish this. If you need pics bass let me know and ill take them

Thanks for the offer kief, but no problem. I have a few pumps so I'm good there. When I do my next grow I'll be using 5 gal buckets in rdwc and I'll add a drain spout to pump out 5 x 5gal buckets. Then I'll just pour my 5 jugs or premix nutes one at a time into the res. It's only 12-15 feet from where I mix them.

I can come up with lots more using this technique ilikebike.

Mini Update!

Day 66 in 12/12

I can't recall when it was, mostly because I'm such a flake. But I want to say about a week ago I switched to 10.5 hrs lights on, 13.5 off. Now I don't know if this has had anything to do with it or not. Maybe the bumping the Ginormous bud booster was part of the reason too. I don't know. But I just took some super macro shots with the camera (no idea wtf I'm doing with cameras) and got these pics.

I guess my statements earlier about frost and trichs no longer applies.:high-five:

On to some porn:

Bass,

:nomo: still watching

Absolutely, that's what we're all looking for...:thumb:

Nice pics

:high-five:

hohum.

I got home from work this morning, lights on, doing regular morning duties on the girls. I look up at light and a bank of led's are out. Crap. About 20 lights are poof. Hopefully get in touch with GS tomorrow. I'm sure Donnie will handle it fine. No idea how long they have been out since I rarely look up at the light and being only 20 I guess I just didnt notice.

Damn 3.75" net pots suck for this type of grow. Even with some applied bondage I keep seeing lean overs. So I had to put in 3 more strings tied tightly to the bottom stalk And run to PVC to pull the plants into position. However, It appears I have more buds shading buds now too. Oh well, we're on the home stretch more or less.

I am not seeing the bulk though. Going to spend some time on the girls tomorrow. I'll take pics, do some sort of attempt at taking scope pics too. I hate even snipping pc's of bud to set on desk to get good scope view. But I just cant seem to get them on the plant. Kinda funny, I just noticed my radio shack 60-100x lighted scope with the clear plastic base is covered in sticky trichs from scoping buds on plants and leaves on desk.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get some good 300x pics of trichs and get a better idea how long till chop.

Sorry to hear about your light troubles. I'm sure you'll get it solved tomorrow.

I went and bought some PVC today at home depot to give your suggestion a try :)
