OldSkoool's CFL/LST Computer Box Bag Seed Show and Review

nice bud bro +rep for uppin your buddage this time round

Thanks! I'm hoping to up the buddage Legalize!

That time of the week already, Wanda celebrates her 9th week of grow today. I did some leaf trimming, cutting some shaded leafs, and a few upper leaves blocking light to the small buds sprouting up along the center stalk, and the seven secondary branches. Followed by LST adjustments to equalize the height of the tops. Routine maintenance stuff.

Compared to previous grows, the buds are developing much faster, and have more pistils. Tiny trich's can be seen in macro photos covering the buds, so I cut one of the smaller buds to check them out under my pocket microscope. Wow. The tiny bud became a subject of an experiment I'll share later.

Hi OldSkoool:nicethread:
That's really a good job on the LST work. That'll get those bud sites to start producing every where.
Your plants are really looking good. Short fat fannies.
way to go.:ganjamon:

Thanks for checking back OMM, and the encouraging words.....Like Little Richard said, she's my hearts desire.

Wanda's starting to take shape, requiring small adjustments to her LST ties almost daily to keep her tops equal, and new buds exposed to the lights. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it, plus it gives me something to do when I check her 20 times a day, think I'm becoming addicted to her intoxicating scent:yummy:

I use long decorative pipe cleaner wires (fleecing burned off) connected to large modified paper clips. They work great, are easy to adjust, and are recyclable. Most of the ties on Wanda held Maria in place 3 years ago, and have been used on my other MJ's since then. Hell of a bargain for this ol cheap skate.

On 09/30, I gave a shot at cloning the three original plants before starting the flowering cycle. All my previous attempts failed miserably, mostly due to my fault in keeping a watchful eye on them. This time I set up my 'cloning station' on the island in the kitchen, using a desk lamp with a 13W daylight floro. Don't laugh, I vegged my first two plants for 10 weeks under this same desk lamp. I wouldn't do it a again, but it does illustrate that MJ is one amazing plant, and can grow under the most primitive lighting conditions.

Following the advice read here, I made 45 degree cuts under water, splitting the cut with a razor, dabbing the cut end in root hormone, then planting in sifted Farhard African Violet soil. For the first few days I kept the soil very wet, making sure the seed cups were completely saturated. No nutes.

As of two days ago, my clones are still among the living (amazing), showing signs of revolt when I thought I was giving them a very weak veg nute watering. Wanda's clone is on the left, and the clone of the plant I adopted out, on the right. The host of the third clone turned out male, and I tossed it. Stupid me. It was from the same seed group as Wanda, and could have been used to keep this strain going. We learn from our mistakes. Both clones have rooted, showing roots at the drain holes, and are now ready to be re potted, and begin LST.

The old timey photo is a scan/re print of some old family photos I'm saving, the little girl leaning out is my mom, taken in 1922 when she was four.

Hey dude looking great wanda look like she some kind of freak keep the porn coming

Great! OldSkoool:nicethread:

That was really slick. I be using this page for reference on how to clone.
If I ever clone (some where down the road) and I probably will. Joanne comes to mind.:slide:
Well done, my friend.:grinjoint:

I was just repeating 420's 'How to clone' guide in the Seed's, Clones & Strains section in the Grow Room, he describes everything you want to know about it, all I did was follow his instructions. Glad you found it useful.

thats amazing man love the box design is the fan pushing in or pulling air out?

Thanks for dropping by GanjaMan. The fan is exhausting (pulling) lamp heat by pulling fresh air in from under the canopy, providing constant, and necessary air circulation throughout the plant before exiting out the top through the fan. Simple design, works great.

Clones are looking good.

Hey Lost1, thank you. So far so good, I re potted both of them tonight, so I'll have to keep a close eye on them to make sure they survive this stage of the process. Hoping both make good mothers for future grows.

+reps for that light setup and some good plants growing XD
i must say sir i think i will try and adapt your design

Appreciate the compliment Blacken. I have a thread in the Cabinet section describing the build, and will be adding more photos, and assembly instructions for Granny's request. Should have them up tomorrow if your interested. I just completed another light canopy tonight (same dimensions) for a friend that adopted my other female plant. Since I enjoy growing one plant at a time, this design works great, providing 21,000 CFL lumens. Thanks for dropping by.

Since I want to photo record Friday's weekly progress of the main stalk bud from week to week, think I'll post the latest photo, the week before, and the week before that, etc. to provide a quick view comparing weekly development for future use with this strain (clones).

The temptation will be great with this one.........I promised myself that I wouldn't take any buds for flash curing. Why did I do that?

Friday (so far) is also watering, and LST adjustment day to level the bud tops. In the sink here before being re adjusted.

Watered, LST'd, and ready to go back under the lights.

((((OldSkoool)))) Hey honey, I finally found ya!!! You know us ol' ladies tend to get lost at times!:smokin:

LOVE that 2 week pic!!! It's snowing at yer house!!!!:slide: This lets me know I can look for this soon with my own (something I wondered about). My 14 day in flower buds look about like your 1 week in flower buds. Yer lady must have been nicely ready to flower for you.

I also luv the LST effects to keep yer lady short. And I luv yer grow box!!! Ya know, the majority of growers are THE MOST interested in being able to grow in a confined space on a small budget - and you truely make this look SIMPLE! And ya took some real nice clones and they seem to love yer green thumb too!:cheer:

Man that is one fat fanny!!! +reps honey!!!! We'll have to see if you can resist the temptation!!! :goodjob::ganjamon: I'm tuned now that I found ya!

:thanks:

Yo Gonja Goddess;) See you found my little corner of cyberhigh, thanks for dropping in, and your very kind remarks on my humble grow!

Yes, Wanda is strong with the force, generating mini blizzards within her foam box confines:ganjamon:

I couldn't be more please with how she's turning out, especially for a red headed bag child.
