Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well so far this year. I’m back to school duties, so I apologize for not being around to journals the way I’d like to.

I grabbed a quick couple of photos of the girls this morning. All three of them are showing pistils now. I spotted them last night I think, so they are showing pistils about day 21, which is normal. I also removed the bottom node, so that leaves them each with 3 nodes.

I haven’t done much aside from watering and keeping the humidifier full. They’ve gotten 2g/gal of MC so far, and tonight I’ll increase it to 2.5g. Every so often I also turn the light up the tiniest amount. It’s running at about 35% right now.

As they stretch, I’ll start training them out as much as I can. I have a feeling the Jack Herer will be the tallest, I think she’s sativa leaning. We will see!

Hello all! New update on the mars hydro ladies today. They are growing well and I’m happy with things so far.

I gave the top arms a stank clip (-as seen on shed tv) and I’m looking forward to this messy girl already. She’s a vigorous one, with a funky growth pattern. She’s got some branches shorter and then the corresponding branch is long. One branch topped herself and the rest haven’t. She does what she wants, and I dig that.

She’s a pretty, pretty, princess and boy it would be nice if I could keep her looking so good all the way through.

If you look closely, you can see that when I topped her, I accidentally took too much and she only has one arm. Oh no! I contemplated taking the whole node down, but ended up deciding to just riding it out.

I’ve been keeping the rh in the 50’s range. Their last feed (and again today) was at 2.5g/gal and I’ll bump them up to 3g/gal for their next batch. They seem happy, so I’m happy. I have been turning up the power on this light (mars hydro so-3000) just a tiny bit at a time. Doting moment - it might seem like a small feature, but I do prefer it to my other lights, the mars dimmer dial is so easily accessible and has clear measurement of the power setting. My other light requires a tiny screwdriver or the dimmer is loosely wired on top, it has no indicator of power level, except you can feel a “notch” at the halfway point. Both styles are workable, I just appreciate how much easier and more precise this one is.

All your pretty maids are looking so good! They have really put on a lot of growth since the last update! They are really starting to take shape with the early training.

Good point about the ease of dialing in the dimming on the mars light, My lights are from the same company as the other light you have and even though I love them I do wish their dimmer had some kind of indicator on them so you know how much power you are actually using!

Thanks N, I was pleasantly surprised with their growth so far, particularly the JH. It seems like I’ll have a small medium and large. We’ll see after stretch gets done, but I’ll likely have to prop up the OG. Small fry.
