Thanks Sauga! I start off by just touching the plates to the rosin bag then once I hear the rosin begin I start applying full pressure for the squeeze.Just watched your video... nice work brutha!
Sweet little machine. the music throughout was a nice touch as well. Had a 70's bud porno type of thing going on! Great demonstration Dutch! Basically 5 minutes to press it? Is there a pressure gauge or were you just given 'er all ya got?
The plates are controlled by a PID controller that keeps the plates a consistent temperature through the entire process.Until you mentioned a few days ago Dutch I had never even heard of pressing to extract. That was a very well-done video and pretty much without a word explained the process.
It got me thinking because I have a 50-ton press in my garage and I have some 6 x 6” - 2-inch steel plate too I could press with. All I would need is to warm my plates up a bit with a torch to the right temperature. I would have to get the proper paper and filter pack too. Once the weather gets a little nicer I will have to give it a try. Do you know what your plate temps were?
Do it! I have wanted to go solventless for some time now and finally taking the plunge I’m very pleased I did!

What’s going on everyone!! I hope your all well and enjoying yourselves. Got a few pictures for you today and a brief talk about my new toy the Rosin Press!
Now the autos are doing great and CCa2 is going to be coming down this weekend. She has slowed drinking significantly compared to the others even her sister CCa1. The Trichome pictures I got of her tonight show a few buds that are showing quite a few ambers. The buds have also not shown any new white pistils and have been turning reddish orange steadily. I think by the weekend she will be perfect!
The PE autos are looking good! PEa2 is frosting up nicely and is filling out and with PEa1 colas chunking up nicely as well I can see these Pineapples starting to shape up quite nicely!!
As for these criticals.... they are looking just lovely and frosted up beautifully!! They continue to push out more trichomes and have really begun to pack on the weight. The colas are filling out and wow are they stinky!
They both needed atoday so I mixed up some nutes and gave them each 1gallon of distilled water with:
-5mL CaMagThis will be their last feeding with BigBud since they are moving into their final phase of flowering. But here’s a few bud shots from today!

Ok sooo I just wanted to talk about my excitement towards my new RosinPress for a minute! I’ve been researching and looking into different rosin presses and after looking at many options I ended up landing on what I felt was a pretty solid choice! I did look at DIY presses but this just wasn’t something I wanted to dive into at the moment so I went with my next best option!! So many small units are $1000+ but I found a great priced unit for $600 that is built to last, heavy duty, and ready to use out of the box! But as much as I wish I was able to press my first batch of rosin with it today I was unfortunately to busy to get around to playing with any pressing! Tomorrow though you better believe I’ll be squeezing flowers and posting some pics along the way! I want to make a new thread as well inviting all rosin pressing pictures and knowledge for the community to share in! I think with this becoming such a widely spread Cannabis product we should build our knowledge together and enjoy that golden rosin goodness while we’re at it!! But I was able to grab a few pictures of the unit itself and I’m looking forward to using it tomorrow!
Alrighty! That brings us to a close here for this update. I’m excited to harvest CCa2 and tonight while I sleep I’m going to be thinking about pressing rosin all day tomorrow ha! Anyways I hope you all have a great remainder of the day and Stay Medicated!!
