Fudo's Spring Organic Sativa Grow

Looking great and nice job on the transplant! If this were my grow I would flip when the net was filled and prepare to put another one on top of that. Unless, like I said, the Panama has a moderating effect on the Malawi. :)
Sounds like a plan!

These girls are relentless. Gotta be an inch a day. And I had to retie the HB’s again. I’m seeing a trend here.

The pots are heavy and the plants are filled with water and yet still flexible, very cool, I’m liking Sativa's. I can be a bit more aggressive and not worry so much about snapping them, I hope. :nervous-guy:

I’m going to need to be aggressive with the Hulkberrys to give the MPs time to fill the net. I think I might use square tomato cages for the them. They’re not going to be little, but I’d still like to be able to move them a bit to get at the back of the room.

I topped the B2 finally. Her node spacing is super tight, they need to start growing out a bit.

The reason I designed my cobs this way is for versatility. I can put them at any angle or height I need.

Inspector is diggin it. :blunt:

14's a good number! Going to be lots of bud!
Yeah I think so…

I’m trying to be patient, what’s a couple more weeks to a 14 week flower time right? Then I think I better flip now because the breeder recommends a short veg time, 15days. I read they continue to grow through out their entire life cycle. Post stretch? I need to research a little better. I’m just afraid if I wait to fill the whole screen, I will too quickly run out of room.

I can see that Inspector is doing all of the work as usual.

Fifteen days veg. time per the breeder? That seems a bit odd to me, but I'm no cannabis breeder.

Yeah she’s definitely is a worker, keeps me running.

Yeah for sure, just looked again and the site says 15 days from seed.

I don’t know where I read 14 weeks on the flower time, it says 12 weeks.

I’ve read so many strain reviews I’m getting confused lol.

Malawi/Panama is 11-12 weeks and isn’t known for too much stretch for 100% Sativas. Well that settles it, we will veg on for awhile.

Some of them will get like that. My nevilles haze got flower lighting from almost day one and she gave me, I forget, something like 6 oz. So it will depend. Supercrop city if need.

Day 48

I let them go an extra day to dry out and it showed. Thanks @StoneOtter for the idea, it works great and is much easier to distribute the water evenly. They drank about 7 gallons of pure water easily.

Day 51

My Hulkberry’s are filling up the room faster than the MP’s can fill the net. They’re all so praying hard and the MP’s are not. I think this is due to an over abundance of nitrogen. I’m still getting some light nute burn on them. So that leaves me with a question for @Emilya .

Em, if I am running purely organic soil with a healthy herd of microbeasties, and have fed them nothing but pure water( I swear) how come the MP’s are consuming more N than they need?

Nute burn I think

Forgive me please for not having been following along, but where would the n be coming from? Unless you have a readily available form of N mixed in with the soil, the organic feeding cycle should be managing things just fine.
But, I think this is a mis diagnosis of the symptoms. There is a mix and match going on in there with the lights, and I notice the ones under the back light are reacting. I can't tell if they are thirsty or reacting negatively to the light or heat in that back area, or if it is just a much better light and this is making those plants more needy, but it doesn't look nutritional though and looks more like a heat or light reaction. Regarding the several "burn" spots in the middle of your lower leaves, this looks more like a P deficiency than anything else, and I see nothing to indicate an overage of anything. When you built your pots, did you use myco? This is the single most effective thing you can do to increase P pickup later on.

Thanks Em that was fast! No I did not use myco. I’ll make a note for next time. Only thing other than water is a little Recharge, a compost tea using the same amendment as in the soil and like 8ml of cal-mag but that was weeks ago. The Hulkberry is in the same soil without a blemish so yeah I’m confused.

I’ll raise the lights for a start…it’s about 85F. Maybe I should water them. I watered them Friday and was going to wait till tomorrow.

The MP's are 100% sativa you say? The Rev says sativa's want sweeter soil and to give them some fast acting dolomite lime in some ro water. I find my sativa leaners that look similar to yours and get a few rounds of the following dolomite water treatments make a turn for the good. Apparently they want sweeter soil than indicas in LOS.
His recipe:
"Another great way to bring in calcium for not only buffering pH, but as a nutrient, along with magnesium (Mg)—another element cannabis plants really love—is by using dolomite lime with your water. If you took something like rain water, or distilled water, or reverse osmosis filtered water, and bubbled some dolomite lime (like 1/8th teaspoon per gallon of water) for 24 hours. You would have water about 60 PPM at 7.0 pH that will help buffer the soil. It will also feed the soil life and the plants. Use the water every time you water."

Edit: I should have said I do this when my sativas curl down in veg. Soon after the new sets of leaves are nice.

and even some calmag without N would be very useful right now... put it in there and the microbes will know what to do. A simple solution is to top dress with a little triple phosphate and let the microbes and such deal with it. And yes, next time invest in a little @DYNOMYCO, one of our sponsors, and you will be able to eliminate this problem and grow bigger roots as a bonus. Don't let the various strains in the room confuse you... some will have different needs than others.
