Kush DWC grow

Re: LabRat420's latest Kush DWC grow.

So, are those ladies still cookin', or are they getting chopped? Inquiring minds want to know! Yes, been following your grow from the start - incognito!

I'm trying to find time to start chopping some but they're still cookin' for the moment. If I ever get off the computer I might get something done. lol

Thanx for outing yourself and :welcome: to the LabRat's Lair!

Re: LabRat420's latest Kush DWC grow.

Yeah, I think this month is OGD, then next month is you....or your alter ego, whichever you decide :smokin:

You are both very deserving:cheer:.

:peace: from the mountains.

Lots of deserving folks up for votes and I'm in no big hurry. Thanx for the kind words.

Re: LabRat420's latest Kush DWC grow.

So I finally went down and chopped a bit. Took out the tops of a couple of the smaller girls and half of the two plants that were showing bad leaves.

The little single leaves poking out of the buds are glossy green on top with no sign of trichs. Turn them over and holy crap!

I know the trichs are too clear yet but maybe I'll get a headier high with this stuff and I only took a small amount from the total.

A little bud porn for your viewing pleasure.

This last pic is the results of 3 hours of trimming. My hands are aching now and I can hardly wait for the main event. NOT! Oh well, it's gotta be done sooner or later. I'm gonna have to be a lot less fussy about getting every little bit of leaf and stem out of the buds or I'll be at this forever.

Total bud in the two boxes was 69.1g wet or 16.3g when dry enough to smoke. The trim was 31.2g. It will dry out more than the bud so my dry weight estimate won't work as well with trim. It's all pretty frosty stuff as the fan leaves with little trichs weren't added to the total. I use those boxes lined with wax paper to slow dry the buds. Both the boxes and the waxed paper are perforated to allow a slow and controlled moisture escape. They are more loosely packed than usual as I want these dried in a few days. Normally I would have put it all in one box and let them dry over 10 days to 2 weeks. Then into jars for final curing. I'll have lots to mess with later so this is just for testers.

I'll be keeping totals from both tubs to see how never changing nutes affects the final yields. I can tell you right now that the unchanged tub is healthier looking and better yielding over-all. Odd, I thought it would be the other way around. This stuff is from the changed tub.

That's it for now. C'ya L8r.

Jeez! You caught that! +Rep

I took that reflection of you from your last pot pix, transformigorized it in Photoshop, ran it through the de-pixelation module and wrapped it over one nice trichome. I never thought anyone would see it. Kind of a hidden sig.

Good eye OMM. No wonder you're King!

Re: LabRat420's latest Kush DWC grow.

I can't answer for LabRat but I use a camera that is 6 megapixels and 2816 X 2112 at max resolution. I'd say just about anything made in the past 2-3 years (my camera is about 4 years old, Canon PowerShot S3IS...$300-350 new at the time) with a macro mode can get you pics like that provided it's not a super cheap point-and-shoot style (some point and shoot can take good macros though). It really boils down to technique such as how accurate your white balance is, proper lighting, steady hand or use a mini-tripod, and so on.

Btw LabRat you owe me a new monitor...I kind of melted the edge of mine trying to smoke those bud pictures lol.
