Being a musician with his heart in southern roots, you guys
just don't know what Skynyrd does for me...you've touched
a soft place in my heart. :) Thanx !
( Btw, The Ballad of Curtis Loew is my favorite tune )

I believe the stretch MAY be over ! The Super Crops have done
amazingly well and the clones have rooted. I am a bit too busy for
pics atm, but I PROMISE, tomorrow.

As always, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Peace :roorrip:

Curtis Lowe, Mr Banker, I need You, omg the list goes on. Some of my most vivid memories as a child are of my dad (RIP pops) on Sat nights, puffin some wacky tobacy and jammin a Lynard Skynard record. Thanks for the flashback:grinjoint:

Good day all...

Myrtle is still growing like a weed ! I Super cropped her
yet again today and took pics. It's amazing to me that
she keeps springing back. The clones now have a nice set
of roots and I'm putting them in their new homes later today.
I will post pics of them later.

As you can see, I've almost reached the height limit I have to
work with. I've been brutal with her and I guess I'll continue
the super cropping as needed. I dunno what else to do
as I just don't have any more room. :|

The brown leaf in the 3rd pic is frow the very first light burn.

As always, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Run, you need to get aggressive with her, bend her over and tie her down... If that is as high as your light will go you are going to have some serious issues here soon. Hook up some string, and slowly start bending her and pointing them they direction you want, it will also open up the inside for better light penetration and air flow. Then you can cinch them down over a few day period and get them to where you want them... Keep an eye on her for signs of stress... What are the temps at the top of the canopy with lights on? She is a beautiful plant..:peace:

Be Irie , thanx for checking in on me.

I foresee having to do something drastic soon.
I've contemplated on how to tie her down more
but I haven't found a solution yet. The problem is
that i have to be able to move the plant to add rez
solution and check PH daily. I thought of attaching
strings to the walls but then I could not move her around.
I never thought she'd get this large, lol. Believe me...
the clones are gonna be massively LST'd from the beginning.

The temps at the top of the canopy with the light on is around
80 degrees...the tops will only burn if they stay in contact with
the glass on the reflector for a good while. I can easily and safely
hold my hand directly on the glass with no problem. The 250w
HPS has saved me in that aspect.

I'll continue thinking on how to get her under control.

As always, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Peace :roorrip:

Just to add to Racefans post about transplanting, heres an option. once again I 'm thinking check out home depot. In the concrete supply area they have two differnt sized mixing bins that may help your situation. the smaller one is 18"x27"x6"deep =12.63 gallons. the other is (this one is off memory) 24x36x8"deep =29.92 gallons; theyre pretty cheap, like 6 bucks for the small 12 for the bigger one. Made out of very sturdy black plastic. Take a look at them if you get a chance, theyve worked well for me in the past for hydro tables might work for you as a res. I dont know if lids are available though. Good Luck

that baby is a monster, should change the name to goliath lol

What a beast Run!Hope you get all your space probs worked out.
Can't wait to see how this one turns out.:peace:

Wow very nice looking lady, loved the shot of her showing her legs. Sucks about running out of height, I'll be watching to see how you overcome it. Best of luck.

Just a little update.

The 2 clones have be transplanted into their final homes
and they're doing well. Had a little shock I think when they
first got nutes, but I'm pretty confident I now have 2 healthy
clones from Myrtle and I will start serious LST on them as soon
as they grow a bit. I SC'd Myrtle again today and she seems to
be slowing her upwards growth. There are a lotta bud sites and
if they gotta grow sideways, then so be it ! LOL

Anyway...Pics !

Hello mate, looking lovely if i may say so and what an excelent job on Myrtle's canopy nice and even, may i ask how far from the canopy your HPS is Runamok?
best regards..creamm :grinjoint:

may i ask how far from the canopy your HPS is Runamok?

The HPS is around 2 inches from the canopy, I have about 6 more
inches to work with.

Thanx all for looking and the kind words.

Myrtle continues to defy me and I continue to be brutal with her and
STILL she seems happy. It's amazing. I've only had to do a few super crops
in the last few days, so she is slowing down, but she still gonna be one
contorted plant by the time this is all done. I'm glad I got clones as
I'm VERY happy with the way she responds to LST and SC.
I'll continues to post as there is progress. So now... Pics !

Hello all...
Myrtle and her clones are doing well. Myrtle is now 2 weeks into
feeding on flowering nutes and the clones are 1 week into feeding
on full strength veg nutes. I have started vigorous LST on both clones.

I believe she's done MOST of her upward growth although I have to coax
and bend here and there every day. One leaf and one bud got burned yesterday,
but the bud was very lightly afflicted.

I included a pic of the grow area to show her current contortions. :smokin:
The area is 24"x24"x48".
