Off and running, looking great Renegade69. You don't see to many people using military time, I love it. (just don't start with Zulu time) lol.

I've seen dozens of great LED grows, but I never see "awesome" LED grows. I've yet to see a harvested LED grow out perform HIDs. They are great grows, don't get me wrong, but most (not all) though less heat, deep light penetration, etc...don't out do HID or outdoor sun.
I'm sure that might change soon & maybe with you!

Thank god I missed that boat...LOL. It was introduced early on and quickly forgotten.

You a vet Renegade?
Branch? Unit? MOS?

Me: US Army, 82nd Airborne & 2nd Rangers.

Yea, I put a bunch of them in the stockade...LOL.

Give you any hints...LOL.

Army, MP, All over...LOL.

2nd Rangers....tough crew. Much respect. Spent some time in the field with 10th Mountain Division and cold weather training in Washington and Alaska. Finished off doing some time south of the boarder with SO out of Tampa and Panama. Purely escort duty for me but rolled around in the mud with all of them.

Wish I had some experience so I had something to compare. My last grow was successful but yield could be called into question. But hey, some yield versus no yield is better than none.

I don't weight out anything since it's only for personal use and meds for the wife. But the one AG plant gave her enough to smoke every day for 2 months and I kept some on hand when she had an attach. Worked great for her so I'm going at it again.

Now it's more just a hobby and I have no intentions of ever going any bigger than I have. That's my promise to her.

Oh yeah. Now I remember you. I told ya I hadn't been drinking & the 3 Marines started it first.
Poor guys. Must've thought I was a navy boy.

Good morning friends....

So I was thinking last night that it would be cool to have a comparison of how she's taking off. Everyone has a nice comparison from grow to grow. Well here's mine...

Duh....I completely forgot that I have the pics from the last AG grow.

Hold on to your seats....LOL.

First remember the AG started out with just the CFL (I believe it would be considered a CFL) bulb that came with it. I didn't switch to LED until I flipped to 12/12.

This is the AG at the end of the first week....and oh yea, somehow I managed to pop the seeds at the same time last grow. Planted on Wednesday and pop'd on Friday/Saturday.

Anyway the pic....

And here's the current grow a week later....

I wish I could say it's even....LOL.

Here is the beast 2 days later....this morning...

Waste of time showing the AG 2 days later....not even close.

Have a peaceful Sunday all....

Hi mate,

Beautiful little babies under pink light, and you're right versus CFL veg lamp as you said LOL

It certainly gives me food for thought. I will wait till I have it in hand before making a decision. I hinted on something in my yard earlier. So I will include something like that in the title. To be honest with you I wish this had come along at the end of this journal because I would like to continue using what's worked for me...."TopLED". The new toy would be best used from scratch. But it just look soooo good that I would like to get right to it. Like most I don't have much patience....

But I did agree to try it out and my word is my bond....

Hopefully it will arrive this week so I'll change it out next weekend. Maybe I can get away with using the TopLED for veg and the new toy for flowering. By the pictures i'm posting TopLED is proving it's worth and the new toy has some big shoes to fill...IMO.

Thoughts and comments welcomed....

thank you cajuncelt:goodjob:, I still try to verify what you shared above. It's great that LED technology keeps getting closer & closer, to catching up with HID bulbs, My good friend LA:high-five: is now proving that his LED current grow is superior to all his HID grows, I hope Jimmy6000 reads this.

QUESTION!

What is the REASON for the (+/- gap of 18") LED's require, between the bulb & the closest plant-top? Heat?
:thanks:
