The Den of Secrets Hydro Grow 3rd Go Round

Happy Mothers Day and here is a gift to all of the cool moms who appreciate fine, sticky and sometimes overwhelmingly fragrant photography. We started this grow on February 14th in memory of one of DJB's best friends. He and DJB shared many past times, but the longest was that of smokin weed and second probably that of growing weed, never however to the extent or knowledge of the most recent grows in DBJ's and my life and that of all the helpful folks here. It was more like plant it and pray not really stacking the odds in their favor by growing with some controlled variables.

Anyways, to day is Day 85 in total and 12/12 for 58 days. We started flushing with water on Saturday and think there should be some buds ready to snip on Wednesday.

Dude, WHat fine frosty ladies you have there! How do the trichs look right now? MAybe they need a tad more time. Whens your harvest?
I wish I could touch one of those leaves and smell for aromathearapy.. Feels nice,,Is that wild and crazy gal a sativa? SHe is the one that looks like she wants to ripen more, but that is jsut my opinion. Umm I would smoke any of those ladies if I had um too!!!'

I am a mother and I appreciate all fragrant plants, those photos, dude, they look like heaven! I'll be they are as fragrant as wellI always stop to smell the roses.. and even longer to the likes of what you got there.. Ahh bud porn who doesnt love it!!

Thank you Be Irie, Hazeseeker, Mellowman164 and fineas for the positive vibs and reps. Fineas the "partial" harvest is scheduled for Wednesday but nothing in stone, then we are planning to let the others go longer you are absolutely right about the power skunk, she needs more time. Mellowman at this stage we are using FF big bloom, FF tigerbloom, Cha Ching, FF Grow Big ( that was up until Saturday ) and will begin again as soon as the first harvest is completed.

Yesterday, DJB and I snipped a few buds from the den. Yesterday was day 61 in flowering. We took the main cola from the Pure Gold, 2 colas from the Californian Skunk and the main colas from the Red Diesel.

Zena is a gorgeous plant, I am in love with the buds, hopefully the smoke with be as beautiful.

The Power Skunk isn't even close. So back to the waiting game

We know balls are bad for the most part but what about bananas? Seeing that the power skunk has decided to sprout some. On our last grow the Tatanka grew some bananas so I am wondering if this is normal and if it happens more often with feminized plants??? Here are the latest pictures from the den anyways

Looks good you two... Those colas are looking pretty damn frosty. As for the bananas, is their a bunch of them showing up or just a few? I read horror stories of plants turning late in the stages of flowering. I think I would try to pinch them off and see what happens. Another beautiful garden and nuggage from you two... Keep up the good work..

Like Irie said if there's a few don't worry to much just pick them off. If a lot form then you might want to pull the plant. I got a few on my power skunk and they only made 20 seeds. Anyway the power skunk is looking closer to being ready. With mine I got tired of taking up the space and pulled it.

Bananas at this stage are the female's attempt to make sure more cannabis plants are produced. In a more suitable situation she would have been pollinated by a male plant and produce a ton o seeds. She will produce her own male parts in order to produce seeds; although, not as many. ;-) Looking great.

I had a few bananas on my plants, too. Out of 4 plants only one produced like 10 seeds, and it was the one going to butter anyway. Don't sweat a few.
