Arteekay's Second Grow - Autos & Feminized - Mixed Strains

Great job with her. Very dense and great color. Looks well over a few ounces.

Cheers

The simpleness of the file clips and the hangers, haha. That is brilliant and I have all the stuff right at home to copy it instead of hand tieing every branch :thanks: My butchers twine salesman is not going to be happy next time he comes a knocking though. :Namaste:

Gosh rtk it would be so much easier for you guys to just take some panda plastic and wall off a 12 X 12 room. You wouldn't have to move the girls all the way out and could have them in the center of the room with nice fans blowing. It would be easy to weigh and water in place and you could just put some reflectix around them to keep the light there. If you have the space you don't even have to use more light it just makes it easier to grow.

Yes it would Shiggity. Do you have the space arteekay? Is that a possibility? Make your lives so much easier. What I'd give for a space that size. *longing sigh*

I posted that before I went back and caught up on what magic had transpired while I was being self-indulgent. You sir, have been busy becoming my favorite journal, bar none. You definately live too far away from me, because I'm jumping with joy over those last posts on your Dark Devil Auto, and this paltry emoticon comes nowhere near the joy a good hug would transmit, but it's the best I can do with these virtual limitations. :yahoo:

I'm in awe, just in awe. Your retrospective post amounts to a tutorial on raising a DDA, and I'd like you to repost that on the community thread, if you don't mind.

What might be a better idea would be to start a new community thread, dedicated to plant retrospectives. You could start a trend that I find quite valuable. I was particularly pleased to get your insights on training lessons and future possibilities. That made a pictorial into a teaching tool. Well done, my friend. :high-five: I'm going to be looking at my own pictures now and setting this type of post up for each plant as I go, making it easier to edit before posting. A little structure to the madness. :laughtwo:

Thank you for the most delightful start to my day. I knew there was a reason I was drawn to you. You stick around these parts now. :kisstwo:

Those office clips are hanging some dang pretty cannabis there buddy. Just beautiful as always.

I have always wanted to just convert a room over to growing and ditch the tents. Main reason is that I just want to hang out with the girls and read. Used have a grow room in Colorado like that. It was awesome and you should do it! :cheesygrinsmiley: I love spending other people's space and money!

Bob ;)

+reps btk killer. You really did kill that DD. The week by week pictorial was great

Good looking harvest :thumb: can't wait to hear the smoke report :yahoo:

It probably won't be significantly different than my others, "tastes great, getss me baked!", but we'll see. Maybe I'll develop a more discerning palate now that I actually know what I'm smoking. I'm having a hard time telling our first grow harvests apart.

Great job with her. Very dense and great color. Looks well over a few ounces.
Very nice mate:cheer:

Thanks guys, always great when the first time is a success. Next one will hopefully be better. Dry weights coming when I got 'em.

:yahoo:

It's under consideration, trust me. Baby steps! :)

:high-five: brother.

Thanks Bob!

I can't do things halfway, so when I start thinking about how to convert more of the basement, the price tag goes up so quickly. We're gonna stay with tents for this year at least, I think.

Chopped, cleaned and hung up to dry, like a good serial killer. :)

I've done the week by week in my previous harvest posts, but I think the addition of the actual quote and a link back to that day's post is better. Worked out quite well.

Thanks so much Sue, really means the world to read this. I had already planned to post something in the community grow, but hadn't thought to just repost it in it's entirety. I will do that today.

The next generation has a tap root and is going into her pot this afternoon, so you're stuck with me in the community grow for the foreseeable future.

I've got a SweetSeeds Red Poison auto coming in shortly, can't promise not to corrupt your DD thread with a little red poison... :)

I love the idea of a plant retrospective thread, if there isn't already one (maybe long dead?). Team Project!! :high-five:

I'm here till they ban me. :laughtwo:

March 13 Update. JH and CR are, and NEM was 74 days old. R2 is 10 days old. CR is 24 days since her flip to 12/12.

CR is 10-11 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 79 and RH is 57% at the canopy, 77 and 62% at the top where DD has been hanging for a day.

Temp for JH, NEM, and R2 peaked at 78 today with RH at 55% during lights on. They are on an 18/6 schedule and JH is 14 inches below her Mars II 900. R2 is off to the side and is about 28 inches from the light.

  • JH was soaked using 6 liters with 23 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B, 5 ml of GO CaMg+, and 1.5 g of DNF Bloom Fortifier at 866ppm and 5.7 PH

Big news for today is that we decided to pop the freebie Lemon Skunk auto I got with the Dark Devil order from True North Seed Bank:

In other news, D2 is desperate to live and was crawling right out of her shell:

She went into her late sister's pot this afternoon:

Family pic:

R2 (6.6 lbs down from 7.0 yesterday, 8.4 lbs after watering tonight):

NEM (10.4 lbs, down from 13.0 yesterday):

JH (12.6 lbs down from 18.0 yesterday, 24.8 after watering tonight):

Back in the tent, sans NEM:

Hey RTK, I had to sign up just to let you know how enjoyable your journals are to read. It's clear that you love what you do and have a passion ( and talent!) for it. Truly inspiring stuff, please keep growing as its such a joy to read along with you and Jbiz.

That DD was beautiful and the JH looks deadly! All the best brotha

Our second Early Miss (NEM, since i still lack imagination when naming 'em) was put to the axe this afternoon. She stayed shorter than our first one, Britney, but finished nearly 20 days earlier. She has next to no popcorn at all. Jaybiz accidentally knocked a lower nug off while pulling a fan leaf, and it's just rock hard, as hard as any of the tops on our first grow. Really loving the apparent quality of her nugs vs Britney's most numerous, but far more larfy buds.

I'll definitely grow one more, this time with DNF Bloom Fortifier and possibly with a planned massive shock at day 21 more like Britney had. :)

Anyway, on with the tribute..

Her life story:

One Week old:
Jan 06 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 7 days old. Temp is 78 and RH is 72%.

The two autos, Jack Herer and New Early Miss both in 5 gallon fabric pots, were given 240ml of bubbled tap water and the top of their pots once again just to change the color and keep the dust down.

NEM:

Two Weeks:
Jan 13 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 14 days old. DD is 3 days old. WW-ish is dead and gone. Temp is 76 and RH is 75%

Both autos seems to have taken to their topping like champs. Overall I'm happy with how everyone is looking, but there are a few issues.

NEM, one cotyledon doesn't seem to have slowed her down at all:

Three Weeks:
Jan 20 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 21 days old. DD is 10 days old. Temp is 72 and RH is 43%, static since yesterday.

Another small update, but I can't not do a daily journal entry, I'd never get to sleep anyway. :)

Barely got to them today. Only the Dark Devil needed anything, but I did a little leaf tucking on JH and helped the tops on NEM spread a bit more than they planned themselves, just with my finger tip. We really need to get on their training before the weekend. Expect a big update that day, sorry.

NEM (13.4 lbs, down from 15.0 yesterday):

Four Weeks:
Jan 27 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 28 days old. DD is 17 days old. Temp is 72 and RH is 63% at the canopy, 73 and 66% at the top (where Rev from our first grow continues to dry).

Nobody needed anything, so I just took 'em out for a look around and some more LST on the two older autos.

NEM (forgot to weigh her, 20.0 after watering yesterday):

Before:

After:

Five Weeks:
Feb 3 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 35 days old. DD is 24 days old. CR is on 24/0, Temp is 73 and RH is 56% at the canopy, 71 and 63% at the top where we're drying two from our first grow. Temp for JH, NEM and DD is 86 with RH at 40% during lights on, and 69 and 52% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule.

All three autos are throwing pistils and will be into their flowering stretch I'm guessing. I've gotta train up DD a bit before that gets underway, and stop aggressively training the other two.

NEM (18.2 lbs, down from 21.2 yesterday):

Six Weeks:
Feb 10 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 42 days old. DD is 31 days old. CR is on 24/0, Temp is 77 and RH is 32% at the canopy, 73 and 37% at the top. Temp for JH, NEM and DD was 88 today with RH at 27% during lights on, and 70 and 37% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule.

First time in a long time we had to water every plant we have on the same night. Humidity is going up for the next day I'm sure.

Poor Biz ended up mixing up three different batches of nutes for everyone for a total of 31 liters of water, then lugged the same to fill our 5 gallon buckets for bubbling again. Man is a workhorse! Meanwhile I futzed with tiedowns and training, lollipopping, some minor defol, etc. I really stole the good side right out from under him lately.

NEM (8.4 lbs down from 12.8 yesterday, 21.6 lbs after watering):

Seven Weeks:
Feb 17 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 49 days old. DD is 38 days old.

CR is on 14/10 15 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 73 and RH is 58% at the canopy, 72 and 61% at the top where Britney continues to dry. Overnight is 69 and 64%

Temp for JH, NEM and DD peaked at 90 today with RH at 37% during lights on, and 69 and 46% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 18 inches below a pair of Mars II 900s.

Beyond some minor leave rearranging on DD, JH, and NEM, and quite a bit of tucking CR back under her scrog, and watering, nothing much to report of interest.

NEM (7.8 lbs down from 11.2 yesterday, 20.4 after watering):

Some early nug porn:

Eight Weeks:
Feb 24 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 56 days old. DD is 45 days old. CR is 7 days since her flip to 12/12.

CR is on 12/12 14 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 79 and RH is 50% at the canopy, 78 and 52% at the top. Overnight was 69 and 53%

Temp for JH, NEM and DD peaked at 86 today with RH at 46% during lights on, and 68 and 49% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 14-15 inches below a pair of Mars II 900s.

Decided to do a bit of a partial flush on my Jack Herer autoflower. She's been getting full strength nutes every watering for a while and I don't want to overdo her too much. She'll go back to full strength when she's dry likely on Friday. My New Early Miss will get the same treatment tomorrow, as she's actually showing a bit of overfertilization.

NEM (13.0 lbs, down from 19.2 yesterday) She's going to be dead empty tomorrow, but she hasn't been really dry in weeks:

Nine Weeks:
March 2 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 63 days old. DD is 52 days old. CR is 14 days since her flip to 12/12.

CR is on 12/12 14 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 77 and RH is 43% at the canopy, 77 and 45% at the top. Overnight was 68 and 46%

Temp for JH, NEM, DD and R2 peaked at 85 today with RH at 43% during lights on, and 69 and 49% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 14-15 inches below a pair of Mars II 900s.

NEM (12.2 lbs down from 16.8 yesterday, 23.8 lbs after watering today):

Ten Weeks:
March 9 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 70 days old. DD is 59 days old. R2 is 6 days old. CR is 20 days since her flip to 12/12.

CR is on 12/12 now 10-11 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 81 and RH is 45% at the canopy, 79 and 49% at the top. Overnight was 68 and 55%

Temp for JH, NEM, DD and R2 peaked at 88 today with RH at 44% during lights on, and 68 and 56% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 12-14 inches below a pair of Mars II 900s. R2 is off to the side and is about 29 inches from the lights.

New Early Miss is fading, but still looks to me like she'll make the following weekend.

NEM (12.4 lbs, down from 17.2 yesterday):

Next up... Tonight's before and after harvest pictures:

Hey Crombie! I'm totally honored to read this message. Welcome to the best Cannabis advocacy site that has ever and will ever exist.

Grab a seat, there's plenty left. We'll be sparking up a test nug of that Dark Devil in a few days. So excited to try her out. :)

:high-five:

New Early Miss Harvest

Well, I said we'd wait until Monday, so of course we decided to take her this afternoon. Really it's about available time, tomorrow's already a busy one outside of the garden, so today was just better.

Of course, Jaybiz and I went a little nuts with the cameras again, sorry folks...

This afternoon's pictures:

Without her fan leaves:

Hung to dry along with our first Dark Devil:

The felt bags worked so perfectly that there's no point in taking a picture, there's no roots on the outside of the medium besides a couple dozen small ones on the bottom.

The total wet weight of everything hanging is 1179 grams, so I'll guess around 4 ounces dry. Less than Brit, but that's to be expected really. We'll shoot for higher in the next one we grow.

Later all.

Awesome kolas, you guys could move to the PNW and do this for a living.

Cheers

now that looks like some very tasty stuff there brother.....
