Well it looks like things are chunking up... are you back on track? Why not go reverse for a short bit and make a couple side lights with the new clusters for a short term boost in production?

Listen I got a question for ya. If you could spare the time. Would you be interested in judging a solo cup challenge were hosting here on 420mag?

Hey Lightaddict... I can't reply to PM and I thougth it would be better to reply to your thread than to the Buckshots.

Thanks for the welcome, this place really seems filled with useful info as well as people willing to help.

And yes, it helped a lot, especially since I thougth OD was some old generation and GOD the new. As well as info about UV. (although I might also get a 20w 10% UV bulb for peak sun time if I decide on BM... just for the kicks)

These lights really interest me (Mostly because of Osram), but they are really expensive.

The only problem I can foresee is the problem of light burns, since I am more of a sativa guy and I usually grew quite tall plants. And at the end my plants would touch the lamp at 200 cm height. I guess that could be problematic.
Do you think scrogging or some similar method should be used with these lights?

Heh, sorry to bombard you with all these questions, it's just nice to talk to someone with experience using them

Hey Enki , yep your in the right place as 420 is a great community of people and a wondrous source of info.
I talk often with Paul the owner of BM and he has actually told me of some professional growers in Amsterdam running the lights really close to young plants. As long as you have healthy girls you can actually run a lot closer than you think!
The GOD option etc, might be pricey but I believe them to be the very best of the tech right now. The other brands that run Osram are running the diodes used in the OD series, so BM GOD is a leap on from them.

Now as for training there are many methods to be fair and scrog would work well. I personally would flux your plants, but I am slightly biased on this lol (check my quick guide to fluxing listed below)

OK, nice to hear that it won't damage my babies. I am almost decided on the lamp. Just got to sleep on it some more

And yeah, I already checked that quick guide and it is mind blowing. The only thing I don't quite understand is how long does the vegging then usually take with flexing? It's really interesting, but I think it might be a bit out of my league for now

Enki, yeah fluxing is an extended veg period, its dependant on the amount of colas you want really though. Plus I've devised that taking two headed clones that are preset for fluxing will take the veg time down loads

Your right though it isn't the simplest of styles so scrogging may be your best bet
