Cajuncelt's Spring 2015 Grow - Blue Dream - Bubba Kush - Critical Cure - Etc

Man, I gotta be fair & say I'm pretty happy with these autos. They're all mostly from Dutch Passion. LA seemed chuffed with them & as I trust him, here we are. They're in an organic media & get some "boosting" help now that they're flowering.
I only stuck em outside to swap out co2 tanks. Even this is pretty risky.
They're getting 20/4 LED lighting which will stay that way I'll a week before chop. I'll switch the lights back to"grow" mode then & raise the lights a good 12" that last week.

The 2 outdoor gals have been getting climatized this week & will go into their final 25 gal fabric pots this weekend with the other 4 big girls.
I'm germinating about a dozen more of the Code Blue. The clones & seeds are going out as gifts.
Pay it fwd kinda thing.

I met some cultivators from a place down the road. They grow for the #1 rated (by Weed Maps) clinic in Denver.

One of them strips every single fan leaf off, twice, during flowering. He does this to every plant, every strain.
He gets the best yields as acknowledged by the others.

Frankly, I don't agree with this "trick". I figured definitely couldn't get away with that on some tricky indicas. I am wrong (so far, lol).
I asked him if he was aware that tearing off solar panels & energy storage sources were usually discouraged. He claims to make it all up during flowering. Wouldn't tell me how (nute boosters?).
I still wouldn't try this at home, literally.

Happy Trees...

Happy Trees...

Your plants are looking great!!!

I am certainly not the expert that you or the growers from CO (I wish I were that good. In time maybe) but I have had success in trimming the large fan leaves during flower. I don't trim all of them, but the big ones that are blocking light. I usually do it around day 25 or so and again about day 45 (if necessary). I get very hard tight buds under my Mars 900 doing this. :circle-of-love::peace:

Well dang SG. I might have to check this out& see what's behind it then.
I remove light blockers too. But, this guy takes out to a new level. The plant looks like an ivy.

Hiya Cajun,

Got a referral call this week from a wife desperate to help her 79 year old husband who suffers from debilitating arthritis/pain (not rheumatoid) and wants to get off opioids to try medical marijuana.....I have a darkstar strain and a darkstar/amnesia cross from our friend P. Any thoughts of what I should offer or recommend?

G'day Shawnee. I know this wasn't directed towards me. Depending on whether she has adverse reaction to THC will strongly dictate which strain will work for her. My mother has Rheumatoid Arthritis and has had it since her early 40's. She has had two hip replacements in her 50's as well as having her feet reconstructed. She has no interest in any form of intoxication. She might have a glass of wine once a year on a special occasion. She had incredible relief from pain and inflammation from AC/DC and Charlottes web. They are both in the 20+ CBD/ 1 THC ratio. Hope this was of some help to you.

Thank you for the information, Growlow....I will certainly look into those strains.

Growlow, can you share the dosage and method of dosing?

Thanks!

So humbled to be getting another patient...my oldest yet, 79.....good people, horse people, trail riders, lived on 10 acres and now in a condo.....lots of chronic pain....not rheumatiod arthritis but different with severe pain and lots of opioids over time. I'm off on the hunt to aleve his pain and come up with a plan...this is what I live for....

Ya know... I share these words. I hate clipping them... but I see others have success using very aggressive clipping techniques. I need to get past my fears and exercise my scissors on a comparison grow one of these days. It sure doesn't make logical sense in my poor pea-brain... but the results seem to speak volumes.

I do that as well.
No, these guys trim ALL fan leaves, leaving only the buds. Their plants look like vines.

Cajun,

I have found that growing indoors in the Midwest requires attention to the seasons. When growing indoors as well, when you increase the plant count, you must monitor the environment like a hawk and adjust according to plant aspiration. :circle-of-love:

Pretty much the same no matter the location huh?
You're cooking with fire when you add a CO2 system.

What all are you growing nowadays? Have you filled up your patient quota?

Here's some bud porn of the autos.
They've got aways to go, but I like the way they're opening up so far.
