Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

Nice work Salt! Are you getting the expected response from them compared to the flower capsules?

I'm trying them tonight for the first time, so I'll get back to you on that.

They hit about the same as the strongest flower capsules. They also don't seem to take as long to deliver that hit.

You'd need to triple distill to get 190 proof or double distill with a thump. You can order extracahol, think they are a 420 sponsor to.

That's true for a simple pot still. A reflux column will let you reach 190 proof. It's like 4-5 passes through a pot.

Wow thats a massive pile! :) I've noticed some of the strains I grow press great and some hardly dribble.
The last time I tried this was a few months ago with my Sour Patch Kids strain. It smoked pretty good and was pretty stoney, but it just didn't have much resin on it. I think the problem was that I had a lot of foxtailing going on. I guess that's not a good thing for pressing.

I started with about 12 oz and ended up with a really low amount of rosin. I think I had somewhere around 25 gr or so. IT was pretty sad

Here is the Blue Mistic rosin I squeezed on the weekend starting to marble and turn to a wax consistency. Pressed at 210.

Mmmmm.... Rosin waxy porn....

Vaping Peyote Critical Rosin...mmm....sweet berry swirls in your mouth.....mmm......

What does everyone think about the 70% THC yield for rosin? Wondered if there's a consensus that I can use when I get a grow and start squishin.

It's not the THC yield that I assumed the 70% on, it was 70% of the total available rosin. The THC content would vary by strain. My next major purchase will be a cannabinoid test kit so that I know what I have.

Sorry I wasn't clear, I'm talking about exactly that, how much rosin in percentage do you typically get from a squish from the total available in the flower. I thought this would be a critical measure in dosing and that's why I thought you mentioned it. I used the term THC yield because if you leave behind 30% in the puck then aren't you also leaving behind 30% of the available THC that you can extract with other methods?

In other words... if anyone uses the standard squish parameters endorsed my most people here, you have your rosin in the left hand, the used puck in the other, what's the typical percent split of THC between those two... 70/30, 80/20, etc?

Once you have a rough idea of that you can then dose accordingly based on the weight and THC content of the original puck.
