Grow 3 With The Vivosun Smart Grow System In A 3'x3'x6' Tent - Gary Payton

Sticky hooks are a great idea Chase! Looking nice!
Thank you buddy I hope they can hold back the forces of nature. Something tells me they’ll give way before the plant or green wire does. We will have to just wait and see. If anything, if they do work and it’s only the sticky part failing, I might just gorilla glue them to the lid.

Hell yeah that would be fun! The kiddos would love that.
As far as the volume of water the tote actually was able to fit slightly more water than the 5 gallon bucket. I did add another big air stone because of this. I’m still worried a little about the outer edges on the ends. Not sure how much air is making its way that way. So I’m worried once the roots hit this zone if I’ll have any root rot issues as well. Many questions lol.
By the time you fill that tote with roots it will be very difficult to lift.
Especially given the size your girl will be.
You may want to make preparations ahead of time to be able to lift the lid.
What if you cut the lid on either side of the basket and hinged it, duct tape would work.
Just a thought.
Like gull wings.
Easy access. ;)

Day 9. That second set is taking its time. I think nighttime temps got a little on the cooler side with all the rain we got last week. I think later today I’ll take BIlls advice and look into cutting some kind of small flap into the lid.

@Bill284 I am positive this is not how you envisioned it but it was easy to do and I didn’t disturb the plant much at all!
I can easily check all the PPM, Temps, add nutes and water without moving the lid. Thanks for the idea. I used a piece of tent patch to cover up the cracks.

That’s a great idea.
Not what I meant.
Cut down the red line and hinge it there.

Yeah I’ll get a new lid after this one if the tote works out. I’ll add it correctly. For now I’ll be done with the hard mods. At least now I can kinda do what I need to.

Day 10. She has a nice long tap root going. I increased the light to 80% and moved the spectrum from seedling to veg. Might tamper with the water and raise the PPM 100 points. Overall she is doing well.

I will be doing some LST soon. Going to start early and be persistent.

2 weeks in. She is doing well. Nice balanced PPM and PH. The oxygen in the water with the new airstones seems to be doing well. I'm still concerned once the roots reach the outer edges. Might need to spread the air more evenly. For now she seems to like everything. Gonna bump light to 85% today.

I wouldn't worry about the air reaching the roots. As long as you have bubbles on the surface of the res you have good aeration. The bubbles are not needed everywhere.

Thank you for that. I was worried.
