Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow - Veg Indoor

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

good job on the grow man!!! looks good, question for ya, im usin the recipe for success and i was just wonderin what you ph your water and feed at??

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

Thanks SuKa : )

I actually don't have any ph adjuster or a tester at this point so im flying blind Lol

I'm using my terrible tap water for now until I can splurge & get a ph & tds meter & reverse osmosis

I have heard that the dynagro & protekt im using balance the ph somewhat but I know that I shouldn't rely on that & my numbers are still probably not correct. I've read lots of people having problems with their ph due to the promix medium I am using but I have also read lots of satisfied growers. So far I haven't had any problems, & I'm a fairly inexperienced grower.

Im a little confused as of what your asking by what do I feed at ? Do you mean the ph of my feed solution ?

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

Oh yes I have come across Stinkbuds design before. And your lady must be a lucky women Dutch :cheesygrinsmiley:

I think the next purchase I'll be making is the caliber 3 hygrometer. I've seen a lot of good stuff about it & I think it will be wise since i only have 1 dry under my belt. I don't want to ruin all this hard work. Also, I live in SD so the temps are kinda high & the RH is kinda low since its a high desert. I dont wan't my buds to dry to fast because I hear it ruins taste & a slow dry is preferred. What are my best options ? I was going to hang the buds on clothesline in my bathroom but does anyone suggest against that or have a better idea ? I will poly film the windows & have a fan on low circulating air (not hitting buds)

I'm afraid the climate won't be adequate but I dont know what else to do. Don't have anywhere cooler in the house with a decent humidity, don't have money to spend on a/c's or humidifiers/dehumidifiers. What are my options ?

And does anyone have any specific drying/curing methods they would like to share I would be more then gracious. I have read LOTS online & thats why im thinking of getting the caliber 3 tomorrow but i dont know ??

yea thats what i meant but now i know, your the second person i've found this week that doesn't ph their water and everything was still fine, you got some real luck man, i wish i had that kinda luck but i dont lol, oh well.. I also use the recipe for success, and have had good results with it, but also alot of people dont like technaflora why i dont know, but i know i have no problems at all with them... If you got a minute take a look at my first and second grow, they have alot of information about cfls, fimming, curing, and things that can help you with your grow, exspecially if your like me and dont have money like that it will definitely help you out, but im not a pro at all at this, the things i have in my grows like the charts and stuff like that i've found along the way, but if will definitely help you out, let me know what you think..:tokin: and also im along for your grow, keep up the good growin!!! :thumb:

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

I guess I am lucky, even the tap water I use is supposed to be around 400ppm in my city. That is terrible & is way too high which leaves me no room to feed nutes when they are in the younger stages of Veg. Once they get a little bigger, like 10-12" I like to start to feed them very lightly because Promix is supposed to be somewhat of a sterile medium. I usually start out with feed water water using 1ml of dynagro & 2.5ml protekt. I switch off every feed, for instance it will be 1ml dynagro & protekt, then water, water, then 1 ml of root66, sugardaddy, & magical & so on while I increase the concentration slowly. I don't go by the recommendations on the recipe for success mixing chart because the numbers seem high & my water isn't up to par anyway so I use significantly lower amounts of nutes. I also have seen lots of bad rep on technaflora, & quite frankly I don't understand why. Yes its not the creme of the crop but for $40 it will be very hard to beat. I haven't really been using the Bc Grow since I have the Dynagro & it is a more complete Veg. nute. I really want to try the Dynabloom also since their prices are so reasonable & they are supposed to be great products. My dynagro & protekt are great so far & the concentration is higher so you use less per gallon. The recipe for success does come with a lot of nice additives which is nice, & the cloning gel is a great little addition. I'm really pleased with it & I'm considering picking up another kit since my root66 & sugardaddy are getting low. I'm not sure if you have seen any others, but im also interested in the General Hydroponics GO box, its like $35 and comes with (1) 16oz BioThrive Grow / (1) 16oz BioThrive Bloom
(1) 8oz CaMg+ / (1) 8oz BioRoot / (1) 8oz BioWeed,
(1) 8oz BioBud / (1) 8oz BioMarine / (1) 8oz Diamond Black

Or botanicare has their 3 piece nutrient kit that you can also buy with the 3 part supplement kit. I'm very interested in all of these & would like to hear some info or feedback from other growers.

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

im also looking into other kits, i have another but im not to happy about it, but hey what can you ask for when its free, but i will definitely be lookin into the go box for sure, i bet it has great results, plus i've heard alot of good things about GH, also did you make the cloner yourself?? and i heard its good to wait 3 weeks before you start them on nutes, then after 3 weeks you start them on a 1/4 strength like you did, im also still learning more and more everyday, like i said in my grow, kinda makes me wanna start over cause i've done learned so much since the beginning of my grow its crazy, but im stickin with it and hopin for the best.. :tokin:

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

I think I may have to try the go box as well. And yea I made the cloner. I have 3 pumps & right now 2 are sitting in 12 site cloners w/5 gallon buckets. The last ones in a 6 site flower tub that I haven't got to try out yet.

I think EVERY grower should build an aero cloner they are great !!!! Soo simple and not expensive at all, my results are way more consistent and quicker then with rockwool cubes

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

Update: 8/19/11

-Transplanted all from party cups into 1 gallons
-Transplanted 2 of them into 3 gallons for a little indoor grow project
-Oldest in Veg room is 1 week 5 days ; 12 days out of aero cloner
-Planted some in 1 gallons out of aero cloner (some not looking too hot)
- True OG's & PTW's Day 7 of flower in greenhouse

I Bought a 6 shelf hanging closet organizer from ross for $7. Does anybody know if I can use it to dry my buds like the collapsible hanging herb dryers ? It looks like it would work fine, its 12"x12"x48" & is all mesh with cardboard in between each level. Here is a pic

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

i wouldn't of raised the lights, you dont want them that far away from the top of the plants, exspecially when the plants are that short, just my opinion.. but they definitely look good, good job man, and you said you just started, shit for somebody just startin thats a damn good job.. :thumb: :tokin:

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

hahah sorry I should of emphasized that I just raised the lights for the pics. It was hard to get a shot of them all with the lights lowered.

Thanks a lot, I'm still learning a bunch every day. A little bit of time, effort & LOTS of patience & reading gets you a long way :cheesygrinsmiley:

Just growing MJ is too fun, & the fact that it has soo many helpful uses still amazes me on how it is not decriminalized

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

did you have a chance to check my first and second grow out?? like i said theres alot of stuff that will help you in both of them grows..if you got any questions dont hesitate to ask, i mean im not no pro at this but i can help you as much as i can.. :tokin:

Looking like you are just cruising along :) I will be going to Ross to check this out. Looks like a great and cheap option. I hope it is a light enough material to allow for maximum air movement without a fan.

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

I'm trying.
Been telling them to grow faster but their being some hard headed ladies :)

I hope it will circulate air enough too. I think I will be hanging them upside down whole on clothesline & then chop them up & move them to the hanging closet organizer for the last 2 days or so instead of the paper bag method ! We'll see & good luck on those girls dutch

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

i tried one of these before but i just didn't like it cause you gotta turn the buds over cause the air doesn't really get through to the bottom of the buds, so thats why i went ahead and make the dry box, this time around i plan on puttin my little fan rigged to the box somehow so it can blow air into the box and then all the vent holes i made into show allow the air to go out, but when i used it last time it worked perfect, but hopefully using the fan will make them dry faster.. im also gonna try and dry some slow to see if that makes it better so its not so dry and crispy, i'd rather have the buds alittle more moister but still dry... lol i dont know im just rambling on lol sorry..but yea thats my opinion..:tokin:

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

Thanks , I am pretty amazed myself as I said it was unintentional and my first experience with revegging. I clipped that bottom half formed cola off of the vanilla because it didn't seem to be filling in and was drying out in parts so I said the hell with it. I was going through your third indoor grow and I noticed you were talking about taking clones so you could have a perpetual grow, You should really consider making an Aeroponic Cloner. I started cloning in rockwool cubes before I switched to my aero cloner & I wish I would have sooner. It didn't cost much to make, low maintenance, faster rooting times & a WAY higher success rate. Even if you grow on a small scale such as myself you will love having your cloner. My local dispensaries sell clones for $10-$15 so I just go pick up 5, all different strains, Veg them for a few months and cut a few clones off of each before I toss them into the flower room. That way I end up with a perpetual grow of different strains using good genetics while saving lots of money, I even make some actually by selling my left overs to my friends

Keep it Green Bro :tokin:

Re: Stoned4daze61's 2011 Outdoor Grow (Veg Indoor)

i would love to make one but money is tight rite now so i gotta wait on that, so for now i gotta figure out how to do with what i have, plus i have a feeling that the stuff that im usin to start the clones will work just as good as a cloner if not better, but as soon as i get a job and get back on my feet i plan on makin another cab or just build to the top of the one i have and put a cloner together, that way i'll always have somethin flowering and vegging, i think i might make something with a big rubbermaid tub, :tokin:
