Dyold's Grow 1

Hello Shottafire Thanks for dropping by and taking a peek inside the room so to speak. Thank you for the reps and I can't wait to see some logs in there myself.

Thank you Cannafan :reading420magazine: I take care of like 5 or 6 each day for a couple hours , way to much to do each day if trying to do it otherwise. Kind of a nice way to do , you get to see the results before your finished applying the techniques to all the Girls.

Enjoy the Day :yummy:

Good Day everyone :tokin: I managed to get my Can filter hung today and a solid shelf for my Ballast's to get them off the floor finally.

Cannafan I recall you saying I better watch out or the girls will take over the room. I am starting to believe you, have a time of it just moving from one side of the room to the other (oh the horror)

Have a couple of quick videos i am converting will post the links as soon as they are done uploading. :rollit:

dyold your grow is looking really good and your doing a very good job at getting your grow room organized. those videos were pretty cool also. have you got the first electric bill yet? Heck mine is bad enough running 2 1000 watt fixtures. reps coming at you

Some interesting information i picked up somewhere;

" The amount of stretch is strain dependent, but the general rule of thumb is that Indicas will double in height and Sativas will triple in height and Hybrids will be somewhere in between. This is useful for determining the maximum height to ‘veg’ before switching. Let’s say that your HID light must be no lower than 16” above your plants and your Container(Pot) size is 12" and the highest the bottom of your lamp can be is 84”’ and you are growing a sativa. Your actual vertical plant growing zone is 84” (lamp height) – 16” (lamp distance to plant) – 12” (container) height = 56” / 3 = 18.7”. This gives you the maximum height for your sativa plant before switching to flowering.

In the same setup, an indica strain would require 56”/2 or a switch at 28” in height. "

As Farmers we always need to be thinking ahead...and smoking Marijuana makes you stupid ? :hmmmm:

Thank you Beemerbill :Namaste:

I have not received this yet, however I do have these on the GLR light cycle since 9/24 so that should take some of the sting out of it.
Average per KwH in my area is $0.08 aka 8 cents.

Link to another video, this time I am actually talking or rambling however you like to look at it :Namaste:

Thank you :reading420magazine:

:nicethread:

I have grown with GLR and DLS, for purely financial reasons, since reading about it, no complaints at all, from me or the plants. Now running costs are no longer my highest priority I am switching to 5.5hrs darkness (after a suggestion from King John), in a bid to speed things up, the jury is still out as to whether the total cost of a harvest is lower with GLR or higher, monthly it is cheaper, but takes longer.

Tremendous looking plants!!

Thank you Ajagunle for the drop in and your thoughts on the GLR/DLC methods. I am confused as to why using the GLR/DLC methods would take longer from clone to harvest versus any other light cycle. After your vegetative growth period the light schedule's would be the same. I noticed an increased growth upon switching to GLR from a 20 ON 4 OFF light cycle. However on my next round I believe I will use 20 on 4 off as I didn't see that much of an increase in growth with either method. I did notice more growth doing 20 on 4 off than I did burning the lights 24/7 during the start.

Good Growing :peace:

Daily update 10/5 - :yahoo: 30 days down :woohoo:

Did a DUH thing yesterday and did not turn on my timers after reconfiguring the cycles for the Hood Fans and or any fans to come on during the 1 hour of lights on and needless to say the temperature and humidity went thru the roof, 102 F and 86% for that one hour. Did not see any signs of any stress on the girls so I am hoping that everything is good.

Temperature and Humidity are staying in the "Kush" zone ( as long as I remember to turn on the timers after I reset them )

That is all for today and please if anyone see's anything that is "wrong" please PM or post your concerns and/or questions here.

Good Growing :nomo:

Thank goodness you hadn't left for a couple days or some scary thing like that! They don't look like they sustained any hardship on it.
Whew! Eh?
All looks great in the cannabis field of dreams.....:thumb:

I thought the same thing Canna !

Righteous Light Addict I get that. :headbanger:

Couple Pic's for today and some additional LST type stuff.

I do have a question about when to flip my room over if I am going by plant Height and width only.
At the moment my girls on average per plant for 80% of the room are 21" to 28" Vertical Height x 24" E/W Horizontal width x 24" N/S Horizontal width.

Couple of other friends of mine say I should let the girls get taller as they typically don't see twice to three times Height stretch when flipping their grows from Vegetative to Flowering..most are reporting that typically they are seeing about 8" to 10" Vertical growth and that is about it.

Any true Ideas/advice/hard earned knowledge is welcomed. Room is Soil medium, 5 gallon containers under 5x 1000 watt HPS 6" Vented/Sealed Sun Master II Hoods, 10k BTU AC/Dehumidifier - 2x8" Inline Hurricane return/hood discharge - 12" Hurricane with Can filter room exhaust, Triton Helios 7 Master 240v 80amp master light timer, FF Organic Nutrients.

Humidity and Temperature for the Night and 3 hours of lights on.

Wondering if this is a slight nutrient burn maybe or just a natural thing.

Thank you in advance..:Namaste:

Have a :lot-o-toke: kind of day :bigtoke:
