Dunno maybe if you sing him another song he will come back to us .
LMAO. I'd forgotten I did that. Took me a sec to figure out what the hell you meant!

Shit I bet you would get stoned just licking your fingers after loading that snap

She's still very green and somewhat harsh, but she's got that kick I'm looking for. It'll be a few more weeks before she's really ready to enjoy, but I hit everything... :tokin:

Gonna hijack your thread with my own GG#4 pictures. :Namaste:

I know you've been growing this strain for a couple years now; have you ever harvested past 9 weeks? My plant is still really green and healthy, as well.

I'm about 7 1/2 weeks right now. She's about 42" tall. Noticing about 5% amber trichomes so far

Yeah, I’ve gone 9.5 weeks and one hit put me to sleep. It’s already a couch locker—on me anyway—so I try to go mostly cloudy and just a tiny bit of amber. She looks good! So does that sauce. I just finished making some goodness too.

Rated #2 on top 5 strains by RollingStone.

"GG4 f.k.a. Gorilla Glue No. 4
Perhaps the champion of sofa-anchor strains, the aromatic GG4 cranks user relaxation to 11. On its fourth iteration, GG4 gets its name from extreme stickiness (that's the THC sticking to pistils, making crystals called trichomes. High concentrations of trichomes will make bud look frosty) and tranquil weight (you get "glued" to wherever you smoked it). When rolled up or sparked in a bowl, GG4 emits plumes of earthy smoke. Its use promotes cerebral sedation. This potent, indica-dominant hybrid almost never happened; Gorilla Glue, the mother strain kicking off the celebrated family tree, was a surprise baby. A hermaphrodite Chem Sis (the sativa-dominant Chemdawg variation) pollinated a chatty Sour Dubb. Growers crossed the seeds born of that with heady Chocolate Diesel, thus bringing this powerful, dreamy strain into orbit. GG4 took home second place in Best Hybrid Flower at the 2016 Colorado Cannabis Cup, its win spilling into a welcomed 2017 pervasiveness. GG4, like GSC, suffered a copyright infringement lawsuit spearheaded by glue brand Gorilla Glue, forcing its name change. (GG Strains and the adhesive company settled in October.) Just a shame its alternative moniker, Trump's Hair Glue No. 4, has yet to catch on."

Today I decided to make some Everclear oil with some already-squished-rosin bags. They been in the freezer for a few months. So, gather round kiddies, Grandpa’s going to blow up the shop...NOT!

*Warning! Achtung! Hey Hoser! This process can be dangerous and has the potential to do serious bodily harm. Don’t try this at home unless you know what the phuck you are doing. The main things to keep in mind are Everclear is highly flammable and volatile. You must keep your area well ventilated and never, never, never do this near an open flame. That means no cone lighting. You have been warned.

I’m working in my shop which has two windows on the right, a door to the left, and the garage door in front. The ceilings are 10 feet and the door and windows are open to cause a cross breeze.

This is what we are working with today:

The first thing I do is prepare a cake pan with hot water, for a double boiler, and place it on my skillet at a low temp:

I then added the Everclear and let it sit for about 30-45 seconds and then swirl for another 30 seconds. I don’t really want to shake all the green out of this; rather, I’m trying to make some shatter.

I then filtered it three times through coffees filters until I had a nice golden color:

After it’s filtered I pour it into a Pyrex dish that goes into my cake pan-double boiler. I keep the heat on low (on my skillet 1 is very low and 6 is the highest). I set mine to 3.5 to 4 and let It slowly cook off for about 1.5-2 hours depending on how much alcohol needs to be evaporated. Today it took closer to 2 hours.

I try to not let the temps go above 140-150F during the cooking. Higher temperatures kill terps.

When it’s ready the consistency is very gooey and sticky. I use razor blades to scrape all the goodness onto silicon pads. This particular batch yielded quite a bit. I did not weigh anything, but it looks pretty good:

In just a few minutes it’s already starting to get stable. It’ll be very stable in a few days by just letting them sit. Naturally, Grandpa had to sample his work... Tastes like a gummy bear on steroids... :tokin:

Well, it’s been a good day. Have a really fine 420 kinda evening. I know I will. :tokin::bong::roorrip:

Thanks! Have you ever messed around with trimming/topping at harvest and leaving the fan leaves and smaller, inner buds develop for a few more weeks? I know it puts the plant into stress; but I was able to do this with my last grow.
Considering the veg growth is still strong, this is what I'm thinking.

It would be nice to have the funds to get my own vacuum oven be able to make a concentrate that looks like the one I showed. It's hard to come by, and sells out quickly at dispensaries. I usually don't touch stuff that doesn't have lab info.

And, I get more of a sativa, productive high from GG4; which is why I love it so much. It has such a strong Sour D heritage.
