Vex's 2nd Run: Dual Vivosun Tents, Custom Coco/HydroWick System, Northern Lights & Sour Cherries

Hey All,

It's been far too long, but am excited to start growing again and creating some great memories here.

A couple years ago I sold all of my grow equipment to Mr Stank, and figure I'd grow again some day.

Now, after adjusting to changes in life and the amazing help from the Stanks, I am now able to grow medicine again.

Van sent me the GrowAnt Light I was blessed with for JotM. As well as a Mars Hydro light, Remo nutes and other items to help me kick start a small Perpetual grow setup.

I started the journal later than I had liked, but I was struggling with which setup to go with to make the perpetual aspect work well in a tight space.

What strain is it?
2 Northern Lights and 1 Sour Cherries from clones.

Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid?
Indica (NL) and Sativa Dominant Hybrid (SC)

Is it in Veg or Flower stage?
Veg and Flower

If in Flower stage... For how long?
Just finished 2nd week both clones and flower

Indoor or outdoor?
Indoor

If indoor...Dimensions (L x W x D) of grow space?
Bloom Tent: 4'x4'x6.6' (Grow Area = 3.5x3)
Veg Tent: 4'x2'x5' (Grow Area = 3x2)

Soil or Hydro?
Currently in DWC until harvest.
Clones are in Coco/HydroWick

As always i'd like to share my 3D design which helped me be sure both tents fit and were accessible during both Veg and Bloom before purchasing.

Thankfully all fit snug as a bug.

Currently running DWC until harvest. I will then build the Bloom tent's Coco/HydroWick reservoirs to transfer over the 1 gallon pots from the veg tent:

Using a low profile reservoir (5" tall) will help maximize the grow height in the smaller 5 foot high tent:

I added clay pellets at the bottom of the coco/perlite it hopes it reduces the amount of particles in the solution. I can already see some roots reaching net cups. I added 2.5 gallons of fresh nutes today:

Good afternoon.

Girls are still looking great. I truly am excited for my 2nd grow.

I'm hoping the HydroWick system works out. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for any potential mold, etc. I may get Z7 again, unless anyone recommends anything newer/better?

I'm thinking of ordering some Auto flower seeds and grow 1 auto plant along side of the clones/teens on 18/6 light cycle.

Good morning,

I wasn't able to get photos of the girls before lights out this AM, but I'll share some photos tonight.

I ordered some Auto Flower seeds from Seedsman. Blue Diesel and Super Skunk for now to see how 1 auto plant grows next to the clones/teens, space wise.


The clones are liking their new home in the coco/hydrowick system.

I created a 2"core of coco/perlite in each netpot surrounded by clay pellets to help wick the water while reducing debris. Although some coco/perlite floating will not hurt the plants uptake.

Roots are starting to peek out of the larger NL clone. She was the most vigorous out of the 4 clones.

Bent them over to start the training. Trying to go with 8 main colas on each plant.

I only have Catalina under my belt, and that was 3 years ago. Although I learned alot as far as manipulating these resilient plants, I don't want to screw up.

So far the ladies are loving it. No real signs of nute burn/deficiencies.

I think I'll continue to use them in this Perpetual grow setup.
