As a Californian native, I've been using this term forever, I think I learned it from my parents.. I never put much thought into the meaning or origin of it. I guess it's been around and in our face for so long that we have a ridiculously long list of slang terms for cannabis.. I grew up calling it herb... Thanx Mom =)

Yes, my 55 year old mother still smokes herb and she's healthy and happy and gets big fat jars of nugs from her loving son..

hey weaseley, and folks,, whilst reading up on the term 'nug', i came across an interesting fact i did not know,, never thot about i guess,,

the word 'pot'

what does it mean or where did it come from,, ha, whoda thunk,,?

pot: It is a shortening of the Spanish potiguaya or potaguaya that came from potación de guaya, a wine or brandy in which marijuana buds have been steeped.
