New City Grower 2.0

Heya, Reg :ciao:

So many new things to play with. How exciting! :high-five:

About the other thread, I think you should keep it open for the Reps Are Right episodes.
Just my two cents. ;-)

Maybe we should start a thread in the Grow Lounge or something. I'm not too sure how I feel about hijacking Reg's journal all the time. :hmmmm:

Heyhey, Reg, yer movin' on up!

TopLED and a tent! Congrats!

No doubt Pinky. You guys treat me better than most of my real life friends.

Just got in & we have our first 2.0 issue. I believe all the lights in my original tent which is now my Veg tent is what keeps temperatures between 75 & 83 F. I came home and the new Bloom tent was at 68 F. That's around the temps I usually have at lights on. The LED doesn't put out as much heat. How should I go about raising the heat in the Bloom tent and is it necessary?

And just so I can say I have some LED bud pics...

Along for the ride Reg

:Namaste:

Yes BAR you will def want to raise the temps to at least low to mid 70's. On the positive side that means you can grow in the summer and control the heat issues.

If you notice the high temp from where the temp gauge was last night, in the other tent after removing the fan: 86 F

What a big difference.

The 64 was today's low. The high 86 F was from the other tent B4 I moved the plants. It gives you a 24 hr high/low.

Yeah, but if I open up the radiator a little more wont the Veg tent get to hot then?

:scratchinghead: good point. Trying to strike a balance could be difficult.

I just had to deal with the same issue in my veg box.

Now I'm running 200 watts or more of CFL's in there temps were in the low 80's

Nothing for it but to fit a 4" fan, problem solved immediately, 10 degree drop no less.

They're reasonably cheap, so you might have to bite the bullet.

One more point, through ventilation is a good thing as humidity issues can

be kept in check. Also fresh air contains that all important CO2, absolutely

vital for good plant growth. Depletion is rapid if ya don't vent ya tent.

Edit: It's probably the area you're failing most in your current set up.

That 7.25 oz of mine needed lots of fresh air :thumb:
