Journeying Into The Unknown With High Brix

Hey gang,...yes , you all smell fish , just like at the fish plant!:) it's from the TP , totally normal and a welcome smell! Food for the microbes,..they love it! My GR always smells like fish after a TP Drench. Cheers!

Yes, it's definately the TP. All my plants got that last night when I gave them a big drink. I wonder if my garage will smell like that when I store the soil for next spring?

Does everyone break up the crust on top the soil before watering?
I found that if I don't break it up, the water runs down the side and out the drain holes. I use a metal scrapper to chop up the top loose layer and the water stays in the soil when pouring.

Tonight at lights on i will Brix the girls and break out the cameraphone.

Great day to ya Beamer...don't fret bud...your garage will not stink. That fishy smell only happens right after a good TP Drench and actually dissipates very quickly. About the crust ...you can keep scratching like you do..or simply start out watering very slowly giving that top layer some time to moisten up some before ya dump lots on them OK! it's much better to water our pots slowly anyhow , so....
Cheers bud!

Late but sub'd.

Getting ready to brix the girls.

Brix Night Update:

I would first like to say that all the fading and uglyness is due to my neglect, not kit performance.

All pictures are grouped together per plant. Starting with a full picture of plant. Then closer in bud shots. Finally trichome development picture.
This girl is in the only seven gallon pot. I keep letting her go to long between watering. She gets the most abuse.

She still has a very dense canopy. Smallest plant.

It's day 56 Post Flip. I would like to let them go long enough to get another GE in before harvest. That will be 5 or 6 days away. Probably harvest a few days after that. Maybe they will bulk up some more. Laterz.

Update before harvest:
Hello everyone, it's been 66 days and I plan on harvesting them tomorrow/over weekend. I finally have a full three day weekend like I usually get. It has been three weeks since I had one so I'm going to take advantage of it. Below is a group shot and a few trichome pics.

I will do some harvest pictures tomorrow. See you then.

:thumb:---I have decided to cull one, it has a lot of twisted leaves. I will let it grow in veg and eat or juice it when I'm out of grow room. of the other two, one is great and other OK. great deep green color, they are hooking up with the biota. The best going now is my Critical Jack/ Northern lights cross. Three more drop today, Lambo, Jackie White & purple mayhem. :woohoo::Namaste:

Harvest Day:
The full process of cutting, trimming, washing, and hanging took over ten hours. The plant in the seven gallon pot was heavily seeded. If I had bubble bags I would used to make bubble hash but, I don't so I will just pick all the seeds out and grind it up and collect the trichomes before smoking it. The purplish plant turned out decent with some seeds. The other two had even less seeds and came out quite nice. All of the buds were dense but some what smallish. Although I still got some big buds as well. It's funny, no matter the size of the plant they all used four hangers each. Per Doc's suggestion in the bud washing blog I will leave the lights on for 24 to 48 hours to help in processing the chlorophyll. With a heater on use in the tent temps are around 78. Temps in the garage are 55 right now. I think if I turn off the heater the temps will drop to about 60 to 65 degrees. Which would be better, lower or higher temps? Unfortunately the humidity outside is about 30%. I put the pots and the rinse bucket still full of water in the tent to raise humidity levels. Hopefully it will work.

I'm thinking final dry weight will be around a half pound. Hopefully it will be more than that but we will find out in 4 to 6 days. That's all for now.
