I do not recommend topping or fim on a seed straight to 12/12..I believe it to stunt or slow growth yet leaving even less time to grow flower's.

Question #2) With a short vegetative growth period I believe that FIM or Topping is not advisable to produce higher yields. Plants grown from 12/12 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness from seed usually produce one main cola already.
