I let them get low on water this week and think that caused the nutes to be over concentrated, or I just over fed them last Friday. Meh, it'll be alright. It's days 38(#3 short) and 39(#4 tall). Breeder info says harvest is 56 to 63 days. So 18 to 25 days left...allegedly. I can live with it. I hope you enjoy my pics, be sure to click for a larger view.

Water Change Time Again

Not a lot to report this week as far as the autos. They are doing well...well,what autos do. They got a heavier dose of nutes this water change than last, and I'm hoping they can handle it. It's coming down to the end soon. Breeder info adds up to Jan 25 to Feb 1. I think they'll go a bit longer...maybe? I don't know.<shrug> I do know water levels, ph, & bud formation will be checked everyday from now on. I'm looking for that perfect time to try Light Addict's back building method. I'm getting antsy the closer it gets.



The photo plants have had some aggression taken out on them. I cut all the old, giant, leathery leaves off and supercropped the hell out of them. I've taken nearly every branch and broken them toward the outside of the plants, and tied the main growing shoots out to the sides also. Nothing I do hurts these two plants. It looks like I sat on them. The pics really don't do justice to the abuse I've done. I am hoping to throw them under a screen as soon as the autos are harvested. Don't know if I'll flip them then or veg some more. Depends on yield of the autos, and size of the photos by then. You'll notice there is zero height growth recorded for them this week, they are actually shorter than last Fri. I thought for sure that they'd die this week. Damn scissors call my name like cocaine calling Richard Pryor. The seeds came from some mediocre commercial smoke. Not really sure if it's worth growing them out for anything other than the experience, or maybe to make butter.

I did get a 3ml graduated syringe this week to make measuring ph down easier. A marinade injector just doesn't work that well. My ph in levels are closer to correct now. A little more practice and experience, and I'll have a pretty good handle on it. I hope.

Our auto's should finish up within day of each other, Rifleman. We can have a celebratory virtual session. It's crazy how different our plant's are, I was too scared to do any training or anything to mine.. Race ya to the finish line!

Decided not to refill the humidifier when it ran out this morning. Don't want to run the risk of bud rot, and have read that the lower humidity in flowering will enhance resin production. RH is currently 35%.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Criticisms?

Checking ph everyday now, and getting fairly good at hitting the 5.8 mark. The hypodermic needle and graduated syringe has made all the difference. I added distilled water only today and ph'd each bucket again. My ph goes up and ppm down each time, so I am assuming they are all eating well. I've included data below for those that are detail curious.

I actually wore my glasses in the tent today also, and saw some things I haven't seen before. Ergo I have a question for those taking a look. In the pics below you'll see growth near the stalks that appears to have 2 pistils but swelling. Is this normal? Hermie? BTW I know the hair isn't normal, but didn't see it until I looked at the pic. lmao Sorry if I seem like a doting daddy, but my lack of experience is showing. To make it up to you, I'll include some CannaPorn too. Click the pics for a larger view. Enjoy.

In your second pic, on the bud on both sides but mainly the head in the top right hand corner looks like it may have some yellow hermie bananas showing, I'm not sure with the growth on the stalk though, top pic looks like it may have a nana growing out of it aswell :/
Hopefully someone else can get here quick and take a look

Another pic. I never thought I would get this close to a harvest. Took a small snip of a leaf protruding from a bud and put it under the 60x scope. Appears that I have about 10% milky, the rest clear. Can't wait to post a smoke report.

Hey folks, hope all is well in your world today. Dreary grey day here. A good day to spend some time in the tent. Water change was last Friday, everyone got a drink on Sunday, and again today.

Week to date water totals (4 days):

#1- 1.25 gal
#2- 1.50 gal
#3- 1.75 gal
#4- 2.25 gal

I'm sure most of this data is meaningless for those of you with growing experience. I list it with the hope that it helps future noobs with the same questions I wondered about. With that in mind I'm going to try and start a daily picture update showing a day by day progression of the flowering phase for future reference. Being my first grow most of my questions have answered themselves...given time and patience. One of which I have very little of. The other way too much.

Anyways here are some thoughts for the day:

Daily checking and adjusting ph in single bucket dwc systems is a PITA. Advanced Nutrients ph perfect is in my future.
Rain sucks.
Winter blows.
It is time to medicate.

Dude, that looks sick!! The crystals are crawling up those leaves, looks like it's gonna be a good smoke! I'm a first timer also, got 2 THC Bomb Autos. I have them under 600W, 24/7. There almost ready, just commenced the flushing stage.
