a few of us have it going on .. a LOT of different strains being grown in this method.. Twelve12 has a blog which Tweak just posted.. u can see most of our journals on there.. there are few that are not posted due to the absence of Twelve12! :(

but check us out! lots of good info out there!

I have some details on it.. in a few days i will bring out all the data with pictures showing the absolute run as we're almost at harvest on the 2L-DWC-Hempy

I ended up making several holes at different heights, then using gorilla tape to cover the holes if I wanted to raise the res. Plus then I had a hole for the air hose.

I don't think 12/12 used airstones due to the sheer number of 2L's he had going. My next round will have coco on top, hydroton near the cap with the cap totally removed. My res will start high, then go below the cap once roots pop through, then back up higher when she starts to drink too fast.

good ideas good ideas, i pulled the ones out of my 1 liter fiji bottles and put them in regular hempies for now, on my next round of clones I am going to just have one huge hole in the cap and drop the roots through it right into the res at transplant! Which will also inline me to throw them under my Coral T5 bank with some regular 2L hempies, will be a nice side by side since my goal is to get regular 2L hempy yield in a 1 liter! If i can do that in theory i should be able to pull around 1000 grams out of a 2x4 area!(that is of course under an ideal 15g per sog plant which I may not be quite up to par to get that perfection down yet)

Glad to see there are ideas and methods bouncing around! I like the multiple over flow hole idea my self! Def can not do air stones, but i have a air stone in my nutrient reservoir bubbling the water for 24 hours usually. So they get hand fed nicely oxygenated water. If im not terribad more pictures today, we are now in the fattening up stages :D next couple weeks should be super fun....and i cant wait til my pre 2000 white widow and pre 98 bubba kush are ready to give clones!!!

the roots in my 2ltr dwc are crazy, loads of root growth, i did mine from seed so the top was full of compost and i left the lid off the hempy for when the roots grow, it took a couple of weeks for the roots to start coming out the cap but as soon as they touched the res they went crazy, so in my 2ltr dwc hempie i have got roots in the top half in the compost as normal like a normal pot grow, but then once the roots had filled the top and grew into the res then i got all the roots in the res, so ive got a whole lot of roots, they always drink the res real quick and the roots are so healthy, no ph test or ppm test at all, my tap water is ph 7.1, i mix the nutes and feed from the top till the res is full, then i leave it a few days, the temps are not perfect but my plant is really healthy and im getting no problems, no air stone, i just make sure the feed is airated before giving them a good drink, i empty the res every few days to prevent mold or low air content, apart from that its pretty easy and all is going well, i try put some pics on my journal tomorroww if anyone wants a look

Here we go, here we go, heree we go! Purple Widow day 34 flowering.
I increased the BPN sexiness to a 10/7.5/20/10 Grow/Micro/Bloom/Blue...wish i had a ppm meter to give but im guessing 1200ish based on what i have seen from mixing. PH is at 5.8-6
Flowers are looking frosty and the ammonia smell has dimmed down some and im getting sweeter undertones now. Though if i touch it, my finger smells like ammonia LOL
Colas are starting to fatten up and get dense now....now for the bud porn!

Please keep in mind we still have 33 days left in flowering!!

Re: the caps, I have decided to just not use caps anymore... the roots find their way through so much easier, and you do get a few nuggets of media in the res, but the compaction keeps most of it upstairs. Even with relatively fine coco.

Exited to see these finish out!

Flowering Day 39...Purple Widow
Alright heres a lovely photo update of the girls on day 39....things are looking so sexy, and I think they will get significantly fatter, as we still have about 31 days left. I will start checking trichs around july 1st but that is when i plan to go down to 8 hours of light....and now for the porn!!

It looks to me like you would struggle to clone them since they have no lower branches at all. you would have to clone a bud and no one like losing yield lol.

LOL yea i keep mothers from a few different strains. Currently now I have moms for Purple Widow(which is in flower now), White Widow, Pre 98 Bubba Kush, Lemon Haze, and OG Kush. I have 2 other flower stations I still need to fill up, with my other mothers getting really sick and dieing its put it off for a minute, though this week i should have another batch of purple widow cuttings in the cloner to go under my coral t5!.

And yes i staked them cuz of leaning, they were trying to cuddle to much!

Do you reckon you could take a look at my post here and tell me if I screwed up my plant? :oops:

Would really appreciate your help, was trying to emulate your hempy technique. Specifically the last picture with the red circles where I pruned the branches. Fishcake and JBC have been helping me, I would also appreciate your advice on the best way forward.
