2 Girls & 1 Kit: Major PITA Takes High Brix Outdoors, Summer 2015

I'm digging your username Budley Dorite.

The Weakly (Week #24 / Bloom Week #7 completed)

:welcome: my brothers and sisters!

Well gang, we are nearing the end of this journal. I thought I would chop these today but I gave them a stay of execution until at least tomorrow. I plan to do selective chopping of the tops tomorrow so this should be the last set of pictures with them intact. I'm seeing mostly cloudy trichomes with some amber, maybe 10-15%. In addition, I'm finally seeing some mites. Too late to do anything about them. They don't seem to be doing much damage to the plants yet, but they could explain the yield being less than expected (?). Regardless, I can see these girls are at the beginning of their end.

Once I chop the tops, I'll take more pic's. In the mean time, since this is their farewell viewing, I hope you'll indulge me with some porn.

It's been a busy weekend here. We held a birthday party here yesterday and this morning I pruned the plants going indoors. I took about a dozen cuttings I still need to deal with.

Until next time, Keep it green!

Beautiful, beautiful plants, Major - really nice frost, too! :bravo:

Mornin Major....well, almost done it! What a great job you did with your plants this yr. I think it's ok to give ya congrats now pal...looks like your gonna have a stellar crop of fantastic colas and buds.....oh ya ...and lots and lots of BH mat'l. Yeepa...yeepa!
Major just so ya know pal,....when you do your trimming ,just put it all in a bag , close it up good and put it right in your freezer till your ready to try making BH. Then just take it out and chop it up like you would a salad(keeps the leaves from folding over on themselves stopping glands from breaking free OK !) More on that later Major....once again pal...great job ....you were up for the challenge and did it! Cheers eh! :Namaste:
Oh ya what RHoiler said....you've bin promoted to General!:high-five:

Flawless grow :thumb: lots of yummyness coming to you anytime now.

 Much thanks, all! You should consider this grow a group effort. I couldn't have done it without you all.
I'll try to update with more pic's once I get the chopping done. Best of luck on all your grows.

The deed is done! Here are the results from this morning's efforts. I cut maybe 2/3 of the Pitbull and probably less than half of the Ace of Spades, both growing in Doc's Kit soil. I didn't do anything with the other two yet. They don't get quite as much sun and look to be slightly behind. Good thing. It gives me time to let these hang so I can make room for the other two.

The wet, rough-trim weight on the PB is 62 ounces. The AoS is exactly half that at 31 zips. That feels about right since there is a lot more AoS left to chop. The AoS buds are less dense with more stem so the final dry, manicured weight is anybody's guess. Regardless, once this cures, I won't run out of smoke any time soon.

This part reminded me of the song, "Monkey Wash, Donkey Rinse". I'm glad I'm not smoking whatever is in there.

The next three pictures are all of the PB buds before their bath.

Hanging in the garage. Good temperatures are forecast and I have a large fan circulating the air.

Adios for today. See you all around the forum.

Good bud is good to have :thumb:

Hory Shet!

That lot should still be in the 24oz range when dried and taken off the stem (~75%)... and you still have a ways to go man.

Good lookin' produce Major...clean too.

Howdy Major,

To go back to the dunk/drench method, how long do you leave in the bag soaking?
Morning Budley!
Not long. It depends on the size of the pots, but just a few minutes. You can tell when the soil is saturated. It won't bubble when you add water to the top of the soil, and anything you add increases the runoff in the bottom pot. When the plants are in 1 gal. pots, it takes just a couple of minutes. When I'm working with 7 gal. pots, it takes maybe 5 minutes.

Totally great, Major! A sight for me to behold! :bravo:

Much appreciated guys!
The best news is, no worms to be found and more good weather for at least another week (mid-80's). That should let me get these dry and chop the tops out of the other two plants.
