Welcome @cr8grow Thanks
Mostly pics today, hands are cramping from the -30 c temps we are getting
Stepping up the feed to every time, still at 1/2 strength only next feed week 5 on the FH schedule, week 6 we start the big bud nutrients
Gave the STB some extra N last feed seems to be not getting worse

The extreme cold gripping the province, and the country, set record-low temperatures in 10 areas across Saskatchewan on Saturday.
Leader hit a low of –45.9 C, shattering the old mark of –39.7 C set in 2005.

The Kindersley area wasn't far behind with the temperature falling to a bone-chilling –44.1 C.
The Scott and Eastend regions broke 108-year-old records. Scott plummeted to –42.6 C on Saturday while Eastend hit –38.5 C.

Other areas to hit record lows were:

  • Assiniboia at –38.6 C.
  • Cypress Hills at –39.9 C.
  • Elbow at –38.6 C.
  • Lucky Lake at –40.7 C.
  • Rockglen at –39 C.
  • Waskesiu Lake at –37.5 C.
There is no let-up in sight for the next few days.

Environment Canada says an Arctic air mass will continue to bring "dangerously cold temperatures to the region," with wind chills making it feel as cold as –40 C to –55 C across the province until at least Tuesday.
Alberta had rolling blackout from the power demand
I would not want to be with out power for long no power no heat unless you have wood heat backup like me or a generator

Everyone has to have a backup right? Presumably there’s areas that will lose transport links as well as power and potentially communication. Oh wait - people.

Stay warm Joe. Hope you have some of last seasons supplies left if you do get stuck!

Nick

I just can't imagine living in that kind of cold. I am sitting in shorts and vest, barefoot atm. Do services get interrupted with extreme low temps?

You get used to it. You hope that things keep working
We had to send power to Alberta(province) to help keep them from freezing
Hopeful the weather forecasted comes true & it will be melting by Sunday

Beat from the cold, hauling wood, making hash & oil . To top it off pulled a muscle in my back
So just a quick bud shot update at 5 weeks

Buds stacking up nice, how do you activate the charcoal?

how do you activate the charcoal?

An acid solution will open the pores in the charcoal (activating it)
Muriatic (hydrochloric) for air filter, lemon (critic) for drinking water soak overnight
Rinse with clean low ppm water
In an emergency survival situation, you could use stomach acid (hydrochloric)

air filters, water filters & compost conditioner

Damn! Your green is beyond perfect. Absolutely beautiful.

I hope your muscle spasm eases soon and the snow melts.
Thanks for your concern @Carmen Ray, I put some of my cannabis lotion on & used my back support up higher to isolate the muscle. Seemed to be much better after a few days
Been busy making more concentrated cannabis oil also did a trichome shake in the cold
