Hash Hounds Brixperiment with Doc's Kit

Im not sure how growing cannabis with a special soil blend and nutrients, and in this case foliar feeding makes this a "kit", sounds like what your supposed to do anyway to me. And for future reference there is no golden "kit" that will make you produce more quality or yield. Ide say there is no kit period like that. What works for one you make end up in disaster. What works for you I might not agree with and vice versa. Its proper SKILL and knowing what and when to do it that gives you good quality and nice yields, not some magic formula. Just my 2 cents... But so far so good brother, liking the looks of things, ill stick around and watch this one :goodjob:

Growing the healthiest of any plant species IS about having all the correct ratios. Just like health in humans. You don't have to be a scientist to make this observation. Yet...as Doc has mentioned plenty before, the "healthiest" cannabis might not be everyone's cup of tea. I've seen 30+ year HYDRO growers drool, and awe in amazement over the quality of High Brix cannabis though, and nothing could lure them away from hydro before. So, if you'd rather just stick to your methods, that's fine by all means. Just don't come in here bashing science, which equals FACT.

Now...things are looking nice Hash Hound!

Welcome Juicy,

Thanks for stopping by.

I have been taking (asking) advice, mostly from Doc since I have been a member and my plants are consistently healthier than average in appearance, and are above average in quality.

Sure there is no one miracle kit and there are several good ways to grow. I agree. So why is a person closed minded on Doc's kit being one of them?

I would have to say the majority of grows on here are average to above average on the success ratio. And many good methods and nute regimes are being used.

AND Docs methods and advice are usually on the easier side to follow. He opened peoples eyes to OC+ and it may be the single most easy method ever. Water and wait. But I think it might be to easy for some because we feel we aren't really doing anything BUT waiting. Some like the tinkering of mixing a little of this and that to think we actually did something besides plant and wait.

The brix kit might be a little intimidating to some because its new and you have to rely a little more on foliar than other methods. But it really is simple. And I believe it will begin to get a bigger and bigger following once the results are in from the first round of kits that are now being grown by us brave soles venturing in to the unknown world of "brixperimenting".

Ok I have opined enough on the subject and will now try to concentrate on journaling the steps of my grow.

Peace to ALL, good luck and good growing.

...The riddle was asked, if you have 2 dogs and they fight which one will win? Answer; the one you feed the most.

Well I want to feed my positive dog, not my negative one.

:amen: brother! I love it!

:Namaste:

Hash Hound I look forward to an awesome grow... that is if I come back before it is over :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey Hash Hound, just caught up with your journal and so sorry that you had almost 2 pages of bickering with a dude that wanted to cast his unexplored opinions to bring forth negativity and bashing in your journal. I give you kudos and a lot of respect for keeping your positivity moving forward and not letting it effect you :)

DocBud is definitely one of the most educated by fact growers that I have run across here at 420 Mag and I have been following his high brix research, trials and journals from the get go, and I definitely believe you are going to be happy with the kit. I personally haven't given the kit a try yet, mainly because I have been trying my own high brix approaches, but by far his kit is the best thing out their to achieve high brix plants without the guesswork :)

mad props to DocBud for taking the time to build this kit and offering it to all of us, saving us a lot of time in doing all the soil testing, mineral ratios and blends for us!! :) .. Keep up the positive vibes my friend, your girls are looking really healthy, shiny and full of future :)

Vape,

I liked that one too. The show was so so, but the line made want to check out a few more episodes.

Buck,

Welcome.

Ice,

I was surprised with the space taken up also. My journals are usually just a few pages long and sometime more of a recap than journal that goes on and on. This time I may make it to double digits!

My current grow is also a non kit brix grow. Mineralized organic soil fed with teas and foliar with Stump Tea. I never had to pick of a leaf because it was yellow or spotted. I did it only as a light defol at 21 and 42 days. The tops of some of the buds are freaking huge.

here are a few pics from that grow. I posted a few in the eye candy journal, but they are worth taking another look at

these were only 2 weeks into veg

3 weeks into flower before a light defol, Very few hairs showing, they were late bloomers for some reason. But if you see them today, you wouldn't think so

Hash:

Looking at the pics of your mineralized soil makes me salivate a bit......but trust me, the kit is going to do better.

Here's an analogy:

You've got a 5'6" girl with a porn-star body and a male sex drive in those mineralized ladies.

With the kit, you're gonna get a 5'10" long legged creature who has a college degree, drives a grey market BMW, and is waxed all over who likes to wear her reading glasses during sex....which is her main source of exercise in order to keep her body fit and toned.

At least I'm hoping it works out that way for you.

I'll take it!

Wait...what were we talking about? :hmmmm: Ehh...it doesn't matter, I'll take two! :)

Doc I a humbled by your salivating. :Namaste:

And I am salivating visualizing your analogy. :blalol:

here are a few update pics from the last grow.

and here are a few more in the eye candy thread Come on folks let's see some eye candy! Here's some for ya

10 wks flwr. hairs showed later than normal so I'm not really concerned they are going to go 10+ weeks, but the tris are almost changing daily getting a little cloudier each day. I hope to pick in a few days or a week max.

There is such a difference in the top 10-12 inches of the canopy compared to what is below that. From that point up the buds are huge and solid.

First grow I have done without bud rot. Did the brix help? Which was 10's and 11's today. That is a week after watering. Watered today. If I have time tomorrow or next day I would like to test again.

And using a lot of yellow sticky traps rounded up what ever gnats were around from the previous grow and i haven't seen any since 12/12.

sorry the photos are so large I forgot to resize

the stem of the Diesel is thick as a broom stick. my friend doesn't like to clean up the lower buds.
