Heavenly Hybrid 2nd Grow: Blackberry Kush, Coco Grow, LED450

The day has arrived, I’ll be harvesting Queen BBK tonight!
Day 148/ 72 blooming

So much has happened since I planted this little seed. She was the only one that was an actual blackberry kush. The rest turned out to be sad, terribly cared for, unwelcome surprise autos. She’s been my bright spot while I battled, and she kept me believing I don’t totally suck at growing weed, when so many autos stomped on my little gardening heart. Thank you BBK, you’ve been amazing and here’s to you, my seedless queen. (clink!)

Here’s some trich shots from today

Seems like a good amount of amber to me, what do you all think? I love hearing second and third opinions.

And now, I present to you - my queen!!!

I took a little tester out of the middle. Gave her a little bald spot, oops!

Mr. Hybrid proved himself worthy and I got him his very own set of Fiskars. I was very ceremonious about it when I handed them over too - “you realize this means I trust you enough to help me harvest BBK, right?” :laughtwo: I make myself laugh at least.
I’ll post more pictures after it’s done, but it may not be until tomorrow.
A fond farewell my queen!
Happy Gardening! :ciao:

Congrats m'dear!
Cool that the Mr. will be assisting.
I think it'll be a cold day in hell before Mr. Ground helps me trim, so count yourself lucky.

Lol, I am and I do. He seems to be hating on it less lately, maybe because I let him help with the last autos? My neck has been being crappy for the last week or so, and harvesting makes it worse, so I’m extra happy to have help.

That plant is Beautiful...And she's got the perfect amount of amber for harvest !
You did an exceptional job on that one...

Thank you!
She’s set the bar for my future grows for sure. Gotta love the quad!

That's a plant of the month contender for sure....

Lol. Its no 420 lighter, but maybe someday Mr. S., it’s not even a fancy French bic.

So, harvest got pushed back a day. I’ll be trying to tackle it tomorrow afternoon instead. Just not enough hours in the day, I tell ya!

Thy deed is done, BBK is now hanging and drying. :cheer: It took two days and I’m so, so glad to have her off my task list. Next up, I’ll be catching up on some training, up potting and I’m going to make an attempt at taking some clones too, so that’s exciting! :Rasta:For those who didn’t already know, I’m part of a group comparative grow C99 x Blueberry Fast: Pheno Hunting & Comparison Grow Featuring Alaskan Purple
so that’s where my plants are for now. Once I start another grow in the smaller tent again, I’ll probably start up a new journal. And now, back to BBK:

As it happened to work out, I harvested the upper (node 4) branches of the quad the first day.

And the lower branches (node 3) the second day.

She smells so wonderful, I can’t wait to try the little sample bud I’ve had hanging for the last 4 days. I think she’s gonna be a great little night timer.
The upper nodes had many more buds on it, it’ll be interesting to see the difference in weights, just for fun. I’m a believer in the quadline! #quadsquad I’m doing another quad, an accidental tri-line as well as a couple of “Nebula manifolds” in the group comparative. So I’m looking forward to seeing the differences on those methods as well.

I’ve been trying some samples of the seeded autos and they are good buds, but picking out seeds sucks and when I miss one, it tastes so gross and POP! I’m really considering things like hash, edibles, capsules, canna creamer. Any ideas I’m missing on how to make the best use of it all? Totally disappointing because it’s a lot of weed, but it is what it is. Lemonade out of lemons and all that! I welcome any suggestions and tutorials that you all might have. As soon as I make some decisions, I’ll keep you all posted.

I guess that’s all for now, until later, Happy Gardening! :ciao:

Congrats on a bountiful harvest! and another beautiful plant...
I like your backgrounds-black for the light colored buds, and white for the darker buds...really makes them "pop"!
(in a good way...not like the seeds;))

cleaned like all us old-timers did
Get out the cookie sheet and get to work....don't want no seed burns on the front of your T shirt!

Gawjus! Looks dense and frosty and what's with Mountain Dew being sold in 500ml bottles? Canadian import?

You youngsters are spoiled. Buds with seeds are just buds that need to be cleaned like all us old-timers did without a second thought :). Kids today...
Haha, nothin gets by you Shed. Lol, might be from Canada, I just buy what’s on sale! :D Thank you, I’m pretty stinkin happy about her.

Lmao Shed, it’s not the first time I’ve been called spoiled, and I’m sure it won’t be the last! ;) I was belly aching to my MIL about it and she said the same thing. “Back in the day, we always had to pick them out!” :laughtwo: She said something about a cookie sheet and to tip it sideways to get the seeds to roll out, and her other advice was to just grind it all up in a coffee grinder. I dunno.

Eehh, that’s what Shed’s been telling me over and over too. I guess if I keep getting the same advice, I should probably listen. Especially in the weed growing world, that almost never happens!

Btw, I took some cuttings from my C99xBBF #1, she’s my best and fastest grower, so I wanted to give it a try. I’m also training her with a mainifold, so I removed some good sized growth today.

I used dip n grow on the stems, clipped the leaves a little and put them in my new propagation case thing, misted them all well. Hopefully one or two of them will make it. Trying to figure out how to do this successfully for when I grow some CBD strains.
