Grape Ape & Golden Tiger Hit the Shower - DBHBB & 600W HPS - Winter 2016

re: Grape Ape & Golden Tiger Hit the Shower - DBHBB & 600W HPS - Winter 2016

major, your GTs will do great! The ACE sativas tend to want less N. :)

Thanks for that tip DrZ. I've got Ace Panama in the wings waiting.

Subbed mate great strains :) I picked up some of Ace's zamaldelica seesds in Spain this year just waiting for the right time to pop them :) looking forward to this one :thumb::Namaste::passitleft:

:welcome: and good morning gang!

I'll be sitting in the corner quietly, watching and learning....
We will all learn together, but feel free to make some noise. My journals are wide open.

Hi Major - I'm looking forward to following this journal from the start. :Namaste:
Glad you found us. It will probably be a few weeks before things really take off.

I'm looking forward to both strains, but they may not make the best shower buddies. From what I've been reading, you can't go wrong with Ace genetics.

DIY AeroCloner Experiment

My DIY bubble cloner worked great a couple of times but hasn't worked at all the last two times. Since I like DIY projects, I decided I would try another version. These are the parts I had laying around for inspiration

An old bucket that had chlorine tablets in it
An small fountain water pump
A sprinkler pop-up

Parts2.jpg

I purchased the 2" net-pots from Slamazon. They came in a pack of 25 with neoprene cloning collars for $11. They actually sent me 27 of each - plenty of spares. We use these sprinkler pop-ups on our lawn, but you can buy them at the big boxes for less than $1.50.

All I had to do was grab a 2" hole saw, layout my holes, and drill away. The pots fits perfectly - yeah! I cut a notch in the top of the bucket to let the power cord through and assembled the pieces.

The only thing missing was a humidity dome. Luckily, my wife broke an old salad spinner about a month ago. The plastic bowl from it turned out to be another perfect fit! :yahoo:

Dunno yet how well it will work. The sprinkler sprays water well enough. I took it apart and stopped the pop-up from popping up. When it did, it was too close to the bucket lid for good dispersal. A taller (5 gal) bucket would probably work fine w/o messing around with this. Total cost to me: $10.99. If you need a pump and sprinkler in addition to the net pots, you'd have something like $30 total in it.

Here's hoping! :geek:

any invitation to the shower is a good invitation big fella

nice write up! :)

This should be a fun one to watch. Looking forward to following along.

Well, i'm here, but how the f...k did i not make the first page???? i've been here all along...Major , your havin fun brotha....i gotta lot of things to do today ....so will be back later to chat! cheers eh! Still can't post pics....BAHHHH.

Welcome aboard, my friends! :high-five:

Since Duggan has been running into problems with his new camera, I uploaded this picture just to see if it would work (no problems, Dug). :thedoubletake:

The toddlers were Brix'd this morning and may get G.E. today. They look a little thirsty, but not quite there yet.

The bigger plants below have been in their little pots for many months and have been neglected. They've grown into the lights so I'm going to clean them up and take some cuttings to test out the new cloner.

I love the veg section. Everyone always posts their flower but I think not enough veg setup pics end up in the mix. It completes the story

I agree. I loves me some bud porn, but a lush, healthy jungle is just as fun.

Ho, ho, ho. Jungle all the way.... (but no jungle balls).

Good day pal, thanks for the pic, post! Still not working for me. I've contacted 420 mag. , so we'le see what happens now. I've tried about 20 times , so i 'm just about done with it! I know it's working good on my end cuz all my pics worked just like the GF's. camera...everything was going smooth , untill i hit the upload button, then it said "server io error"....whatever that means. Anyhow , your lil garden looks very healthy Major. Those ones on the bottom there,...you gonna thin them out a bit , right? Cheers brotha!:Namaste:

That is odd. Have you tried uploading to any other photo hosting site?

I did take cuttings off the bottom plants this morning to try out the new cloner. I cleaned them up a little in the process, but tried to leave plenty of nodes for future clone taking.

i think you'll like that cloner :) they are slower imo.. which isn't always a bad thing lol. the only troubles i have had with mine and seems to be the common complaint is holding the right temp in the rooting area.

What is the hot setup for temperature?
