ViparSpectra KS5000 Helps GDB Seek Anxiety!

Highya GDB,

Congratulations on zooting!! Very nice way to spend the day!! I'm there most of the time, maybe not quite like that. Sure makes living in this world much better!! Why do you feel the need to get the leaves moist again, if you're going to dry her soon anyways? Just curious. Oh, and I guess the prediction for the Heat to lose 4 straight is a moot point, now. Oh, well. A championship is still great. Happy Smokin'
I posed that same question to experienced droughters and they said it's to get the plant to the point where it will dry properly.

Miami was guaranteed at least one win the minute I predicted they would get swept. My predictions are worthless!

Hello all.

I'm in the process of chopping the Gush Mints clone on her flip + 89. That's going to take all evening because I really don't feel like doing it. I'm just walking past her periodically and removing fans. I haven't sat down to really get at her yet. (Mrs. GDB has a cold and she kindly passed it along to me so I feel a little crappy.)

I moved the Crescendo clone (flip + 42) into the 2x2 and it fits her like a glove!

She's got some headroom between herself and the @ViparSpectra XS1500 Pro!

I'm still just running the light a 75% power but I think I'll be turning it up soon.

It's so quiet in my Man Cave now with all of the fans off in the 4x4!

---------------------------

That's a great photo, GDB...yeah, that yellow leaf really does it for me!
You have an artistic eye!
Ha! that makes more sense- I thought, man... that GDB's got some unreal tolerance!
I was posting zooted. It can be like a "box of chocolates." :)
Congrats GDB - nice pic!
Thanks so much GB! :thanks:
I was thinking same! Glad to hear GDB is human after all.
A zooted human! :ganjamon:
Congratulations on your winning photo GDB!:thumb:
Thanks Mr. Monster. Maybe one day you'll get lucky...oh, wait...never mind. :)
Congratulations on the win. Well done! :bravo:
Many thanks Stinker! :thanks:
I'm glad to see you recognized for your awesome work GDB! What a seed stash! I'm also glad I don't have any plants of the month to enter any time soon! ;)
Thanks Stone! But the 420 photo contests are a whole different animal! The first six times I entered I got less than one vote -- each time a goose egg. :)
Great googly goo smashing and winning ,, hell i would bee giddy too ! Good Job GDB !!
Thanks Smoke! Such nice "G" words! :Rasta:

As always, thanks for your time.

Hello all.

I finished taking down the Gush Mints clone and she's in the fridge. I didn't feel like taking any pics, just wanted to get it done (sorry Shed, but the news in the WaPo is not so good anyhow).

So when I moved the Crescendo clone into the 2x2 two days ago I left the @ViparSpectra XS1500 running at 75%. Then yesterday when I went to water her, her pot was still heavy. She had been drinking about 1.6L a day sitting at about 20 inches under KS5000 (running at 100%).

The Crescendo clone has 16 inches between her top and the XS1500. She's ready for anything the light can put out, so I turned it up to 100%!

So I've no more plants to show.

But I did get my prize from the Blimburn Seeds photo contest today.

Blimburn Prize.jpg

The 3 Cafe Racer seeds were freebies. I didn't expect that! And ordered on Jun 6th, received on June 9th!

I've been following Kyle for years now. I'm looking forward to trying any seed he would put his name on.

This windfall is going to change my grow style and my plans. I'll talk more about it in another post, but basically I'm going to grow more plants in smaller pots.

Thanks for looking in.

PEACE.

Wow, I’ve missed so much!! Congratulations on that stellar harvest (7 oz!!!!) amazing. Congrats on the contest win and all your loot!! You sure have a way with words/imagery GDB, during my catch up you literally had me lmao
- still wearing bell bottoms
- floating on a slow cloud for 6 hours
Gold!

When you showed that big ol rock, I thought you were going to wedge it under the pot to keep it from tipping. Lol, good counterweighting strategy. I’m looking forward to the next batch of grows, you’ve got a lot of winnings to sprout. Well done GDB, well done. :Rasta:

I‘ve missed your harvest, congratulation! Great job as always :thumb:

Damn GDB, you're on a hot streak! You can do no wrong right now! Might be a good time to head over to MGM and see if your good luck bleeds over onto the blackjack or roulette tables.

Hello all and Happy Sunday!

Since I'm down to my last plant there's no guesswork involved in what pic I will post!

The Crescendo clone and the rock are happily plugging along on Flip + 46.

Her mom finished at flip + 90 so she should be about half way there. I'm smelling myself for having kept this little lady under 2ft tall!

And (hopefully) coming soon to a monitor near you:

Next Up 6-11-23 seed drop.jpg

Left to right: Slurricane, Grandaddy Purple x Bruce Banner, Fat Bastard & Forbidden Fruit.

More details will be provided when I start my next journal. Hope to see you there!

As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated:

Sweet seed stash! We're partial to Skywalker Kush around here! The rest look amazing!
Good to know Stone! I've never had it. Can you give me a mini smoke report?

LMAO! Thanks HH! The hot thing now seems to be folks using their considerable DIY skills to design slick, new SIPS. But I pat myself on the back for being able to properly select and place a rock!
One plant to go (crank it to 11) and an amazing lineup waiting in the wings!
Thanks Shed, will do. Wait...I don't have an eleven!:p

I‘ve missed your harvest, congratulation! Great job as always :thumb:
Thanks Valerie. The @ViparSpectra lights played a major role! :)
Congrats on the new varieties, GDB!...What a selection... 👍
Thanks Carcass. The hard part was picking which to grow first!

Ha! Rhino, I can't think of a more effective way to turn my good luck to bad than by taking my ass to the MGM Casino!

Mine is a heavy indica that we use after dinner to really relax and iron out the days wrinkles for good! She has a smooth smoke that makes me high on first hit and makes me want to stay seated. Tastes earthy pleasant from memory, there's more taste but I'd have to have it in my hand lit to say more. It's very powerful! The better half takes 2 puffs on the vape and refrains. I get well roasted and go for a nice mind bend. A good Zooting if you will! You might like it a lot! :p

Sounds like a winner to me. Thanks Stone! :thanks:

Love the new strain selection!

Everything is going as smoothly as silk.

Your plant is exceptionally beautiful and well-grown. 👍
Looking forward to more sharing.

Everything is going as smoothly as silk.
Uh, not quite.

"I could while away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain

And my head, I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain"
-- The Scarecrow

I put the Crescendo clone (flip 48) into the 2x2 on June 7th.

Set the lights to on/off -- 10am/10pm.

Check every night at 10 to ensure that lights are out. Smart.

On June 8th I'm up at 7am and notice the light is on. I turn it off, then turn it back on at 10am. My Scarecrow personality emerges.

On June 9th I'm up again around 7am and the light is on. I turn it off, then turn it back on at 10am. My Scarecrow personality flourishes!

On June 10th up at 7ish and the light is on. I turn is off and then turn it back on at 10am. "Hey, Sherlock, don't you think it'd be good to know why this is happening and when the light is coming back on?" (Scarecrow about to be shown the exit to be replaced by Sherlock.)

At lights out on the 10th I disconnect and inspect the light timer. On 10am. Check. Off 10pm. Check. I replace the timer and set it back to "auto."

Of course on June 11th at around 7am the light is on. Sherlock turns it off and doesn't turn it back on at 10am.

Examining the timer for a second time and everything checks out. (I hit the "Program" button and it says "On 10am". Hit the button a second time and it says "Off 10pm." But then Sherlock hits the program button a third time and it says "On 12am". And he hits the program button a 4th time and no "Off" time has been set.

So, my poor plant got about 19 hours of light and 5 hours of darkness per day between June 7-10!

I removed the 2nd "On" setting from the timer and connected it back to the light.

I left the light off from 7ish June 11th until 10am this morning, and during that time I did not feed the plant. That combination of events led to a deficiency that decimated many of her fan leaves. It could have been N, P or K or anything thing else!

I've removed most of the ruined leaves. It was making me sad to look at them.

I've fed her this morning and now will just wait and see what happens.

If that damn light is on when I wake up in the morning...oh my.

------------------------

I got tails on the Fat Bastard, Forbidden Fruit and Slurricane and buried them in Solo cups on yesterday.

I got no love from the GDP x Bruce Banner seed so I soaked a second one yesterday. That second seed pushed out a tap root this morning and will be buried later today.

This is the hardest part of a grow for me -- waiting for seedlings to emerge from the soil!

Thanks for you time.
