Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

I'm going to start calling that the Garage Row instead of the Garage Grow Partner.

Well, the ducks have all flown south....so I guess I'll just have to have all my buds in a row. :laughtwo:

Loving it :) :)

Thanks my friend. Someday I'm going to have hawkin big buds like you produce! I am seriously hopeful on the current garage grow for some decent harvest. :circle-of-love:

Okay, all the clones that were ready got put in their pot homes and are vegging in their new spacious digs.

The Afghan Kush is now in the garage with the other 12/12 girls.

I didn't think it would be possible so soon, but I am just about out of the soil mix. LOL

I did some more insulating in the garage, the door is metal and was throwing off a lot of cold air, so I covered it with some old curtains to try to keep that cold contained.
We've got great weather (temperature wise) the next couple of days, so no worries there right now. I ran out of rainwater today, just so happens we're going to get rain the next couple days too.
Thank you Mother Nature. :)

And I'm putting in a seed order this weekend, I'll post what I order as soon as I've decided. I still need to get a good supply of day time strains going for the RSO.
Any suggestions for day time strains are perfectly welcomed! Brother dear? :)

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

I don't want to make more work for you, but probably your least expensive option for garage warmth is a small room (or tent) ESPECIALLY if you drop 450 watts of heat in there from your 400W HPS. The grow row give you great access, but your girls will be better off huddling under covers for warmth.

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

You look so dang busy Canna. My difficult physically imposed limit has been two at any one time. I would like to be able to have many different strains of beautiful ladies going non-stop. :green_heart: Yes my heart is green with envy.

You might try homed-epot for a small lp heater. They have some small and cheap $69 - $99 ones that should probably get your garage through the night in the 50s or 60s. Even better if insulated. They are not the torpedo style but like a can sending out heat like a kerosun kerosene heater of old. The one I saw was sold online I think. Uses a outdoor gas grill type of lp tank. Reviews were from people using in small greenhouses or 2 car garages working on classic cars. I don't know cost to keep areas warm.

Congrats on your harvest. So happy the wildlings didn't freeze. :circle-of-love:

Good idea, I was actually thinking along that line yesterday while sitting in there looking over the top area knowing where the heat was hiding.
I found some more tarps in the barn. I'm going to use them to seal off the "ceiling" so my heat stays down instead of up in the rafters. They will meet right up with the wall tarps making a large tent. One more tarp between the cold garage door and the plants, then move the heater inside there and hang the HPS unit with a small fan above it to keep the heat downward.
All of that should get me fairly comfy temps during the night for the girls.

Hopefully this round of plants will be done by the time the seriously blizzardy months are here (Jan-Feb).

I ordered stove pipe yesterday to redirect the wood stove into the garage on a "just in case" measure. Welcome to Michigan. :loopy:

And just because I don't have enough to do....I'm looking at a room in the basement to get fixed up for future growing that is smaller than what I tried before. It will be a good winter project for me. That room was already partially completed with drop ceiling and would be fairly easy to finish off to retain heat and something to hang lights from. There is only one wall that is cement block and it has been covered with drywall, so I wouldn't have that radiating cold like the room I tried before had.

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

It's official....I'm addicted to Bud Porn.....:laughtwo:

The Sleestack Skunk plants are encouraging. What I thought were some amber on them turns out wasn't. Now that I can get a look without wind I see that they are still clearish on the trichomes. So I'm going to let them go awhile.
The cold weather gave some purple to them.

Here's some pics using the flash:

Another defoliation will be done this weekend. I've already begun plucking as I go into the room. I took all of the yellowed leaves off the two affected plants so I can see for sure if it continues and look into deficiency if it does.

Bombs away! You know we love pics.

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Fantastic pics, Canna...that sleestack is just packing it on, Lord have Mercy. You are growing like a pro these days.

I'm about 10 more days until flip and I can't to see buddage again...

I like the tent/tarp idea in the garage, but even better, the little room in the basement sounds perfect...my downstairs has a drop ceiling with drywall on the walls and cement floors and it's just perfect....

I am VERY happy with MDF (similar to plywood) screwed onto rafters for a ceiling in my basement garden room. When I want to move a light, I just drill two new holes and screw in two new eyebolts and move the hanging ropes. I also have about 20 cuphooks in the ceiling for hanging the garden windchimes in the winter :)

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

I find it so humorous that we go to each other's grows and droll. I'm working my way through your pictures and hear myself mutter "Envy" and suddenly imagine one of you doing that at my journal. :laughtwo: I already know I do that at B A R's place all the time, but then, who doesn't?

Beautiful plants you got there girl. :thumb: If you ask me, put the money into a tent. Rad's right. I have to admire your gumption in conquering all these grow spaces Canna. You're just looking for that perfect spot, aren't you?

Glad I stopped. I don't get here often enough and there are a couple pages I've missed, but I think I'm starting to make a dent in the subs list, so let me do more wandering.

Everybody started adding all this beautiful color into the grows. I just love it. :battingeyelashes:

High Sista, my thoughts........White Widow/Blue Dream for Sativa Dominant. A good CBD strain AC/DC like. And Northern light for night time, perfect. This is on Motoco's list as well. High THC Sativa & a high CBD Sativa mixed how you like it will keep you working all day long. And one more thing Sista, don't forget to eat & drink......

Thanks a bunch! I had the Northern lights on a list here, so that confirms it.
Are you saying White Widow x Blue dream as in a cross? I have plenty of White Widow seeds and continue to clone them, so there will be no shortage of that one.
Thanks for the "eat and drink", this work schedule still has me all discombobulated on my food consumption....but I'm trying to force myself onto a routine.

Can you believe it? Spell check recognized "discombobulated".............

Hi WJ....I am relieved they didn't freeze as well. I had a feeling we were going to get an early winter again. I have begun to predict that if it freezes by Halloween, it's going to be a long one. LOL
I looked into the LP heaters and that's a thought worth pondering for sure.
:thanks:
Hope you and the Mrs. are doing well!

You are going to have to move the coffee pot in the grow room, once you start seeing major buds you will want to have your morning cuppa with "friends". LOL
Yeah, the more I think about that room down there.....the more I think that would be a permanent grow room if I get it cleared out. There is a king sized bed down there that will take two people...maybe three, to get it out and up the stairs for the dump. The rest of the stuff is "throw it in there out of the way" boxes and building supplies. Arrrrgggg............:)

Bombs away! You know we love pics.

I will try to be more diligent with the picture posts. :circle-of-love:

That Sleestack is.....stacked.
Great job with her! Picture perfect.

I have to admit I wasn't impressed with those two girls while outside, but now that they are budding up I'm liking them a lot more. :)

I am VERY happy with MDF (similar to plywood) screwed onto rafters for a ceiling in my basement garden room. I'm going to price that out between Lowes/Menards/Home depot and see what it will cost for my square footage in that area. It's a viable solution.
Windchimes............I love them. My pops was making them for awhile. He has one on their front deck where we play cards and have cook outs that is so large it sounds like someone ringing a church bell next to your head. :laughtwo:

I think BAR and PeeJay have to keep an extra roll of paper towels to soak things up after I've done a drool visit. LOL And so many other threads as well.

Yes, always looking for a permanent area for growing. The weather here is the big decision maker on everything. I think I've come to a final solution though.

Thanks for popping in. :)

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Bombs away! You know we love pics.

How about this one for my version of Eye Candy today?

worm_castings.jpg

That's 8 pounds of worm castings from the planter. I'll get the rest of it tomorrow, there's probably another 15-20 lbs. in there to harvest yet.

I top dressed all the garage girls, especially THC Bomb because I don't think she's got much for nutrients left in her soil from being drenched by rains outside. Her leaves are not looking healthy yet.
I might start some General Hydroponics nutes on her as well, as soon as she dries out some from todays drench with castings.

High Sista, I was talking about separate strains, White Widow Sativa dominant and Blue Dream Sativa dominant with as high of a THC count as possible then you will want a Sativa dominant with a high CBD count. Then you can mix these to fit the way you like it.

And Sista from another Mista...sometimes you feel like a nut.......sometimes your discombobulated. :thedoubletake: I had to get that in there some how. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Blue Dream is a heavy yielder. :high-five:

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

I gotta quit hanging out here so long in the mornings. I have work to do!

I think the Colloidal Silver plant is just plain being stubborn, although it has stopped producing pistils, it sure isn't showing any sign of turning into a he yet. Kind of like it's telling me, "I can hold out longer than your spray bottle contents". :laughtwo:

I went down to the room in the basement with much apprehension yesterday morning......it wasn't nearly as packed full of junk as I had thought. Won't take but a couple hours at the most to clear it out. Then there's that bed......I got it down there alone, and it took lots of bruises and cuss words a-flyin with that sharp turn of the stairs and the too low height.
I guess things like this help keep me limber.

I will tackle that tomorrow. Along with a long list of winterizing projects that I must get done by end of this month.

Thanks my brudder from another faddah! I'm going to look around for the Blue dream when I get my order placed!
I might try some White Widow Auto seeds for chits and kicks to see if I can get some decent faster perpetual on that strain.

Later! It's Frrrrrriiiiidaaaayyyy!! :cheer:
