Some clip them (I have), for a few reasons. 1. It can slow them a day or so if you need to buy some time to let others catch up, and 2. it encourages other roots lurking in there to pop on out making for more-explosive growth once they hit dirt...which I can attest to as well.

But, once there are a few poking out, sprinkle some roots powder on that sucker and pop it in a starter.

Hey gov, do you have any experience with a sulfur burner? Like what am I in for......do I have to cover up or get my lights and electronics outta there? Is it a mess to wipe down once the pm is gone? Can't really find those answers anywhere.....I understand to seal the room up and turn off all fans......I guess another question, how did you combat your problem?

Yep, I have one. I got the same one Neiko got I think. I ran it in my room before I had anything going because I had some mold last round. I know exactly what caused it and fixed it, then ran the burner post-harvest and post-clean. I didn't find it particularly troublesome and I didn't even vent the room for a full day. I left my lights and everything in there, put a shot glass of prills in the tray and plugged it in. It ran for 6 hours. I could smell it, but it didn't really infiltrate past the grow room. Had I vented it right away after running it, I'm sure it would have been practically unnoticeable. I didn't wipe anything down afterwards...I just left it since I didn't see or feel any residue and the grow was in a 2-month downtime.

I haven't used it since, and not during an active grow.

Thanks guys, side note working on a sulfur burner.....this fucking pm, had it for awhile now, just popped up after my second grow......gov remembers.....lmao he found it in a pic months ago, the previous harvest didn't have hardly any but this time it seems to not be going away, another thing I noticed is the zamadelica seems to be armed against it.she has no sings, but the rest all have a little here and there.....maybe I'll just grow her........

Oh, and the only real way to combat the problem is get everything out, sanitize, and grow from seed for a round at least to ensure it's not intrinsic to your grow. I'm not as meticulously clean as I used to be or as I am when brewing and such, but those practices have still served me well. I've never had anything in my grows that wasn't brought in on a clone. I don't have mites, thrips, pm, gnats...nothing. Only when bringing in clones have I had any issues.

Ultimately, you may have to finish/cut what you have going, clean it out (but I leave my lights and fans and such in there). Make sure to remove draped items like towels, seedling mats, whatever might cover a surface up and out as you WANT exposed surface area. I use Clorox wipes on smooth surfaces to do general rough cleaning, then run the sulfur burner for a couple hours. (I recommend 1.5 as minimum, 4-6 much better). Leave it alone for a few hours or overnight then vent it for an hour or so. It should smell fresh and clean...maybe a slight aroma of sulfur, but it dissipates pretty quickly.

I use the sulfur burner like this:

1. Get humidity in the room to 90% or higher.
2. turn off fans, but leave AC on. BAG UP LED'S OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT HAS EXPOSED WIRING
3. Run burner for 6 hours.

You shouldn't wipe anything down afterwards, as the sulfur dust combines with water to form sulfuric acid which is what kills the PM.
Put all your containers, all clones, vegging plants, etc in the room to kill spores on EVERYTHING.

One application will kill all the spores. Problem solved.

After venting the room, I find it smells sweet and fresh.

Hey guys a little update......my burner should be here wed., freaking taking long enough.......I will tell ya that it's gets depressing having to wipe all your plants down every morning to get that pm off.....anyway......

Here is an electric kool-aid bout 5 weeks into flower......hope the burner gets it all.....if not I will pick and choose some colas to wash and smoke......

Here are the problem children........3 Jedi kush and a og x nyc desiel......the older leaves are wrecked from wiping them off, I will say that I started brixing them last week and the high ph of the foliar seems to be kicking it's ass.....much improved over last week

A couple zamadelica clones, the small one is the top from the one in a 3gallon.......side note, these zamadelica seem to have an immunity to pm....they are right beside all the others and have shown no signs of pm.......go zamadelica......

Also will mention had a small hiccup in my environment in the veg tent but now I'm on track......just waiting to take some clones of these Jedi, and for them to become root bound for the flip

Thanks guys......it's all good, gets ya down for a minute......but then I remember I start this all to save some cash on smoke and I have already done that ten fold......if I gotta trash all of them so be it.......just be awhile before any HB smoke........

But really I think this burner will do the trick.....and hey the zamadelicas don't care....... it is interesting to see different strains resist problems better than others......another thought was to get rid of all the trashed leaves before the burn...most of them aren't helping misch anyway.......

i would reduce the volume of leaves.. especially at that point.

The burner will do the job! BTW, fill the cup half full or more. You want full smoking action for 6 hours during the dark cycle. Get the humidty up to 90% if you can.

Problem solved. Really.

Nothing could be better for a damp basement than a sulfur burn! Keeps the 'shrooms from growing in the corners ya know.
