Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

You still had a good harvest last year, BH, although you had to work so much for it.Hope I don't see anything like that! Hope you have a great year, man! Cheers

You can spray or soak clothes (for 2 hours and then hang dry)

Soaked clothes will generally hold the permethrin for up to 6x washings.

I get covered no matter what as I am constantly in tall grass and woods...I just am vigilant (and look like a detox patient as I am always scratching thinking it's a tick  )
I hate that damn feeling!

I just made some bug repellent today using a bunch of essential oils to spray on the skin and still use permethrin on shoes and pants. So far so good! Of course, it's only been one day, but I will be optimistic. These ticks are making me a bit psychotic. I'm constantly doing tick checks and busting out the flashlight to look on furniture....and people. Has anyone tried using tick tubes? I made some today hoping to decrease future numbers of ticks. Time will tell, I guess!

The wood stove looks great, Blew! The cabin build is inspiring!

That's what we use.....of course Ms Stank had to get two out of me with tweezers yesterday. None today so far!
Had one attached in my belly button last year...I found it in the middle of the night...it was like the Matrix scene with the probe and Neo....
Has anyone tried using tick tubes? I made some today hoping to decrease future numbers of ticks.
Is that with the toilet paper rolls stuffed with permethrin soaked rags? I know someone who put out 50 of them.

:thanks:

There were so many caterpillars crossing the road and getting squished that their guts created a hazardous stretch right in front of our house...cars were crashing like it was winter....DOT placed a blinking sign "hazardous conditions ahead"...in June...it was freakish.

same problem here in central canada

Spring Planting Update...

This week I transplanted 3x in 30 gallons in the medium GH: Blueberry, ATF, Northern Soul

Today I pulled all of the remaining photos from the insulated Box in the small GH and transplanted them in the high tunnel (bonus pun there). I planted the feminized seeds in the 30/45 gallons and the regulars I divided between 7/10 gallon pots until I can see if there any males in there...I have 2x 30-gallons sitting empty waiting for the confirmed females.

The feminized are all Mandala Genetics: White Bhutanese, Fruitylicious, and California Dream

The remaining regular photos are: 2x DTF, 2x Kalichakra, Satori, Mandala #1,

They're off to a great start. I don't know much about the strains you've chosen, but I know you'll show them off in a cannabis grower kind of way!! Should be fun following again! Cheers

it was freakish.

No ways! That's not real! :thedoubletake::rofl::hmmmm: I'm from South Africa and i rarely see caterpillars, i can not begin to imagine how weird that must be. I'm sure these things would chow a ganja plant in a couple minutes! :nervous-guy:
Spring Planting Update...
Good looking young one ready to get large and in charge :yummy:

super sweet Mandalas. I never got around to any of them. Supposed to love natural soil. I always wanted to try the kalichakra or Mandala #1.
I always liked their style at mandala zeeds.
So far they all look pretty amazing...I went a little overboard ordering from their catalog, but I am still on the quest for 4-5 strains that work best for me. I love seeing how they pop after 2-3 days in natural light...nothing beats the sun, and it finally came out for us here

For those that haven't seen it yet, check out Jon Stewart addressing a nearly empty Congressional Panel yesterday for the funding of the Victims Compensation Fund for 9/11 First Responders. It is an eloquent, heartfelt, accurate ass-ripping 8 minutes on how politicians are failing all of us.

Highya BH,

In days past, I would be interested in his address to congress. Now, the country management is WAY PAST the point of no return. No one can say enough, or do enough to turn this nation around. I've lost interest in everything political, just because too many politicians have their hand in management, and only look out for themselves and inner circle friends. I don't discuss politics because it makes me feel like I did when I made a decision to get a divorce. Very Bad!! Sorry for raining on your sentiments. Cheers

Understood...and I agree on what you said. It made my day to see the way he dressed them down in their own playground...

Cabin Porn Day....

Finally got the table finished and poly'd (2x)... made it with a replaceable plywood veneer top, rest is red oak. I was torn between a "nice" table and one that I wouldn't mind tourists abusing...this was the compromise.

That’s a sweet chill zone Blew. Love the table! :bravo:

Yes, thanks, and Happy Fathers Day to you BH, and all dads out there. Table-seating area looks very nicely done. Clean, Quality construction, Excellent materials. I'm getting to like it more and more all the time! Cheers

GH #1 Update: Topped all the Mandala Genetics last Friday...everything looking super healthy and happy with cool (55F) nights and long days of sunshine. DTF in a 20-gallon.
