You've never tried dabs before, Dennise? I bet you WOULD like it. That's three kinds of wax. Top left is Sage 'n Sour, very up sativa dom. To it's right is Chitral, all indica but still quite up. On the bottom in red is Darkstar, heavy, heavy, narcotic indica.

The wax is basically trichomes stripped off the plant, more or less like CCO only it hasn't been decarbed. Also, these were made with fresh frozen grade A little buds and sugar trim leaving all the terpines intact. Actually, I used part dried buds in the Darkstar. That's why it has a darker color.

Use the torch to heat up the bong bowl thingy. Pick up a little wax with the spoon thingy. Touch the wax on the spoon to the hot bowl do-dad. An explosion of terpine rich, THC laden, vapor ensues which is inhaled through the bubbler.

I love how a long lense can bring out the finer details and colors that get missed much of the time. Beautiful buds PJ

That was the most descriptive explaination I have ever gotten on anything... I honestly think I could almost taste it when i was reading this... Nope I have never tried it and TBH I had never even heard of it until recently on here... I'll be back in Denver in a few months and will make sure I find some there........

I was cleaning off my desk today and found a scrappy looking bud. I realized it was a sample I took off of small bangi 10 days or so ago when it was ~ 8 weeks. I packed it into a bowl and was very impressed. At the time the sample was taken there wasn't much in the way of frost going on. Bangi is packing it on late. Here's what it looks like today.

Ha! Yep, it is LA. Admittedly there are plenty of better things around to smoke besides that 3-4 week early tester. I've been a little worried about the Bangi. It's bulked up beautifully late but it wasn't very frosty. It sure is packing it on now though!

5th Element got jarred today. I packed up 76g of nice nugs. It wasn't that big of a plant. Also, I've decided I really like dabs so I was pretty liberal with what went in with the trim. I'm not sure what to think of this strain from a yield perspective... It's damned good though, even without a cure.

The larger Bangi has been flowering for 6 weeks and has the luxury of being the only plant in the tent with the Mars II 1200 all to itself. She thanked me for this luxury by going a little dry last week and having a major fade event. This is the first significant fade I've seen in the water only second run plants. The Pink Plant has been in it's ten gallons the same amount of time as the large Bangi. It just vegged a week less and has shown no fade at all.

The fade on big Bangi coincided with the start of pistil pullback and major bud swelling. I'm not too concerned but may give it a shot of 2-3-1 fishy ferts.

I've been somewhat skeptical of the Bangis until the last week or so. They just haven't seemed like anything special. The way this strain swells weeks 6-10 is pretty impressive though. Small Bangi (~10 weeks) is only in 3 gallons of dirt but just keeps getting fatter and fatter. Here are a few little Bangi pics, some with a beer can for size reference.

If big Bangi swells like little Bangi the yield will be good!

I passed over Bangi Haze a couple times, opting for Tikal and Taskenti last time - I shoulda done it instead of the Taskenti.

Well, GT, the proof of the pot is in the puffing. The tester from two weeks ago was pretty decent. It was taken about where the big one is now. I took another tester yesterday and will let it dry another day or so.

It still has a smell that I find a bit off-putting. It smells medicinal, like an antiseptic or something. Bangi is easy to manage (at least this pheno.) Responds very well to topping. Branches nicely. Much easier to keep manageable than Panama. I didn't keep a clone of this one but have 9 more regular seeds. As an F-7 is has been back crossed for desirable traits enough that there probably is not a whole bunch of phenotypical diversity.
