i dropped you an email, this site is a big part of my life and im on here anything up to and over 8 hours a day helping new members and getting caught up with journals so sorry to hear you leaving, im sure we will stay in touch though, maybe you come back on here one day with another grow going or update us on what you got going on, it don't sound like you left on bad terms mate, maybe their was a bit of miscommunication along the way,

I didn't say anything negative about 420 magazine, I love this place and am going to miss it.
My problem stems from the fact that I genuinely believe that you either have no comprehension of what I offered you, or that you think my value is so low in life that its beneath consideration.
Some of these poor people watching only think that a job offer came up a few days ago, I applied, spat my dummy out (pacifier) and decided to quit.
You and I know this is not the case however.
we have been in contact about my possible employment since the middle of July. we had quite detailed discussions on what im capable of contributing and what im willing to learn so that I can contribute more and be profitable.
I tried to make it very clear that I wasn't just someone looking for a 'job', I was willing to dedicate my entire life to the 420 movement in whatever way I could, I was effectively offering you my fielty and service like a man at arms to a lord saying ill give my life for you so let me eat at your table.
compared to how shy I am in real life, im pretty open on here about my life. All and sundry that take any interest in me as a person can see from my posts that during my time here, I left a stormy relationship and have met someone here on 420. I am many miles away from my kids and desperate to establish a stable lifestyle so I can go visit them regularly. I also bought a brand new computer, specifically to spend my days doing 420 at a professional level. (went self employed and ran it as a business expense).
I effectively adapted my life so that I could spend the next decade focusing on become all I could be...for you/420 mag
As far as work to do. I know there is almost an unlimited amount of moderation to be done, us members certainly like to voice our opinions
the faq is frequently understaffed with 'happy noobs' offering the bulk of the content generation.
certain sections are at best a work in progress, the sponsor section is woefully underdeveloped. there is no way to locate suppliers based on distance from member, there is no way to search for a product and have it generate a list of sponsors that provide that product...lets just say that there would have always been an opportunity for me to be worth my existence.
Not to mention the fact that there are several sponsors on this site who have had personal conversations with me regarding business strategies and product inovations, I freely give out business pointers to maximise profitability, and yes I do have some qualifications and training in business, specifically specialising in business preparation and planning.
Not only was I willing to offer to use my property as a temporary transport depot, but I was willing to specifically work with our sponsors to put together mixed pallets of products to ship to my property (with me securing the assets with a deposit to cover costs) so that I could be used as a beach head to make doing business in Europe cheaper and more practical with faster response times. I was also willing to be the face of 420 here in the uk meeting some of the great suppliers here and getting them to become sponsors and product redistributers.
as you can see, the list of what I was able or willing to do is pretty extensive, I would have litteraly dedicated myself to making 420 as big and as profitable as I could.
the reason I am upset is because of how long this all took. I was waiting months for you 420, I sat here late at night making lists and downloading software so that I could learn extras like php and sql server e.t.c so I could even assist in programming the web site.
you then put up these jobs on the forum and sent me a private message almost as an afterthought and to be honest, I got the distinct impression that it felt like you were 'doing me a favour' by offering me anything at all.
like I said though, I honestly don't think you have met someone like me, I just don't think you understood the level of commitment I was willing to give and you.
And as far as remuneration is concerned, you know I said several times pay me what you want and put it up when I have proved myself. I even offered two figures, the first one I offered I have discovered after the fact is significantly less than the American minimum wage and the second offer I made is probably less than a third world illegal immigrant would earn!
Seriously folks. is there anyone reading this that has a business. if I came to you and offered my time, my life and my mind, a willingness to learn anything you wanted of me and a genuine motivation to make you wealthy and successful. and all this for the disgustingly low cost of £2.50 a day to start with, you wouldn't snap me up right away!?

this journal and my growing will unfortunately be scrapped. in just a few weeks, the only connection I have to mary jane will be a small stash tin and whats in my blood, and im even going to try and stop smoking.
There hasn't even been a falling out business wise, it just appears that the chance for me to turn this into a career at this point in my life isn't viable. I am not leaving 'because' of that, but because my new career choice doesn't leave any room for 420. once I have the name change requested ill be zeroing this computer so that its seizure safe and clean of any use other than work.

420 and 420 magazine have done nothing wrong whatsoever and I am not laying anything in that direction, nor have I done anything wrong. its simply that there has been an accurance in the background that has caused a major shift in lifestyle and it has slipped into the public domain, not with any intention of causing drama, but merely to say goodbye to everyone with at least some reason as to why I was leaving. perhaps it could have been handled differently, but if we all just let it disappear that would be good.
I just want my name change and to get back to my studying.

I happened to make a comment in don pauls journal about me leaving, the intention was simply that we keep missing each other and I may not have even returned for replies, but it seems its caused a public embarrassment, so now myself and 420 are stuck doing this public to and fro so that we all save face.

You didn't even give me the opportunity to let you know that I could pay you a lot more than that, if you were to spend the needed time to earn it. I very much so comprehend what you offered and if I thought your value was too low for consideration, why would I waste my very valuable time and energy trying to reach you by phone to discuss? We are not fortune tellers man, so assuming does nothing but cause drama.
We had been talking about this on and off for a few months mostly because I am extremely busy and did not see an immediate spot for your talents, nor did I have the time to teach you how to do the jobs I was considering for you. Meanwhile there were a few minor situations like this where drama was formed, causing me to be a bit more cautious about allowing you to join our staff. We take great pride in only bringing people on board who will help further our mission and tend to separate ourselves from anyone capable of causing drama in the forums. In the last 20 years we've had more than our share of members joining staff who were not suitable for our requirements and have no interest in going down those paths again. For this reason, we are extremely cautious about anyone joining staff, which is why it's such a rare event. We just sometimes would rather work ourselves to death that to deal with problematic staff members tarnishing our reputation and ruining our life's work.
We are very grateful for everything you did to get yourself in gear to work for us, however you must admit that you did all of that on your own without any confirmation from our side whatsoever. The only thing that was ever discussed between you and I was that we needed help and you wanted to help. There were never any promises made at all, not even a discussion of what it was that you could be doing. All of that is always discussed in our phone interviews, which never even took place. I can understand fully being excited and making goals and plans for new life changes, however to assume things in your own mind without all parties involved, is not a good recipe for success my friend. We need to all be on the same page, in order for these things to manifest. I'm really sorry that you got yourself so worked up and determined, however I never asked you to buy anything or make any life changes. For all I knew you had a computer in order to be here, therefore had the tools to do whatever we needed.

Thank you dearly for all of your great ideas and feedback, and please don’t take this the wrong way as I really don’t know how else to say it. However you are not my partner, advisor or consultant, therefore it's not really your place to tell me how to run my business and/or assume that your ideas/goals would even align with mine. I never even had moderation and/or working with sponsors in mind for you to begin with, it was mostly geared toward assisting TruthSeeker in the news department because he needs the help.

While we appreciate you learning how to do programming, we have established professionals that have been in business for decades, handling all of our website and server programming There will never be a need for someone just learning how to do it, in our staff especially with how much sensitive data we have. Patience is key in any relationship, especially one for a paid job. I put up the jobs wanted thread because I was finally ready to start searching for staff members and you alone were not sufficient enough for all of our needs. We need several people on staff doing numerous things and this process takes a lot of time to be sure we don’t bring on board the wrong type of people. I might interview 2 dozen people before I find one that aligns properly with our mission statement and goals. Many want to join staff because they want a business card to be the cool kid in their circle, some do it just to make friends, fans and contacts, and some do it because they truly want to help, however have the misconception that the hardest thing they will be doing is rolling joints for the boss. We've lost way too many good members because they wanted to join staff, found out that all we do is work in the back running a serious mission, then they come up with a thousand excuses as to why they have to leave the site and position all of a sudden. We're not high times, there are no pot parties and there are no under the table hookups. We are a 420% legitimate and transparent company, unfortunately in our industry we have the hardest time finding people who are serious, even tempered and patient to represent us properly.

All is well.
Had a wonderful time at 420, met the woman of my dreams here and we are looking at a long life together, met some wonderful characters.
i would personally like to give out my thanks to JanDre2k, who was my grow idol when I joined. Almost everything I know came from watching him.
I would also like to personally thank fish cake. without your warm and lovable personality I would never have allowed myself to get to know or trust anyone on here. from everything I know of you my friend, you have been a credit to the human race.

probably worked out for the best anyway, sounds like either I would have quit in frustration or you would have fired me for being too opinionated about your business model, lol. funnily enough, I do have a business plan and 420 forum would have been a nice little income stream to plug into my business ( internet consultancy before anyone thinks I had plans for any more than a pay check).
As to the level of detail I have been putting into your business and the site layout and suppliers and multinational market penetration....don't take it the wrong way, but I put about the same amount of mental effort into choosing what to serve my woman as breakfast in bed, im just an obsessive planner and I like nothing more than applying my planning to someone elses needs, it makes it worth having such an annoying brain that never turns off.
I need to loiter for just another couple of days to google myself and point out any residue of my user name, then I will fade away.

probably worked out for the best anyway, sounds like either I would have quit in frustration or you would have fired me for being too opinionated about your business model, lol. funnily enough, I do have a business plan and 420 forum would have been a nice little income stream to plug into my business ( internet consultancy before anyone thinks I had plans for any more than a pay check).
As to the level of detail I have been putting into your business and the site layout and suppliers and multinational market penetration....don't take it the wrong way, but I put about the same amount of mental effort into choosing what to serve my woman as breakfast in bed, im just an obsessive planner and I like nothing more than applying my planning to someone elses needs, it makes it worth having such an annoying brain that never turns off.
I need to loiter for just another couple of days to google myself and point out any residue of my user name, then I will fade away.

Why not just start a clean slate? Ud leave and join a shity cannabis awareness site (that's any other) and once u go after this I doubt there's any coming back.
Why not just put it all behind use. Ask the mod to delete any trace of the discussion (ppl have seen it all and understand)
But these ppl wil forget quickly and any newbies would be none the wiser

I have enjoyed my time here, I have learned a lot and have given back my all. this is however a hobby and did not become a career, until I have fixed everything so its nice and stable, I don't have any time for hobbies whatsoever.
im not going to any other mj site. im starting work in a completely unrelated field. im not leaving because of embarrasement either, but because my new thing is going to take all of my time.
