Is a bowl trimmer what it sounds like? Never used one before

It looks like a big stainless steel salad spinner.
But it trims buds instead.
Not great for quality.
But if volume is key it's a good way to go.
I think @Buds Buddy shows one in his last post.

There's a clear plastic bowl shaped lid that goes on top & a crank handle that fits on the hexagon shaft you see in the pics. Not sure what Bill means by not good for quality. As long as you leave 2 spacers in the blade it does a great job.
Take one out & it trims too close. I also have 2 extra spacers should I want to trim off even less. Only 2 spacers come with the trimmer. But the first trimmer I ordered had a dented bowl & the crank handle was missing so I took the spacers before returning it. This is my 2nd trimmer so I knew I could use the extra spacers at times.

Me & the Mars Hydro SP-3000.... It's the "CHERRY ON TOP" : COMPLETE
I'm fixing to use it again right now so I'll post before & after pics so you can see how it does & what the complete trimmer looks like.

Yeah, that's it.
The buds don't look as good as a skilled hand trim, but they vape exactly the same. Absolutely no difference in taste or effect.
Saves a lot of time.

I'll be using a @VIVOSUN bowl trimmer. I got it last year after harvest and a few days into trimming. I put the last of the Bruce Banner into it just as it was ready to go into jars for the cure. I was happy with the result.

Exactly what it sounds like. There's a pic earlier in the thread, and Bill posted some, lol!

Edit: Full thing looks like this when assembled. The blades are under the grill and spin as you crank the handle.

I’m following your lead with my 1a. Removed all fans with exposed stems yesterday and will wash and hang them today after a cuppa.
The others could use a few more days and breaking up the process seems a bit easier to handle

I'll be shifting Donatra out a bit into some of the open space from harvesting the others. She is slowing down her drinking, and her pistils are still changing. Some of her buds do seem mostly done with brown pistils pulled back into the calyxes though. I'll give her all the time I can.

Yeah, spreading it out as much as possible is way easier!
Last year all 4 got mould around the same time. I had to harvest them all at once. I even had to trim the fan leaves indoors with them hanging. It took days just to do that.

Shes not quite down. There are some buds left on some smaller stems. I meant to finish her off today, but I came in for a break and fell asleep.
I am really happy with the colas, that's a 60cm/24 inch ruler on the table!

And this one is the biggest!

It really was a big job! She just never dropped any of her leaves. There were leaves that hadn't seen any sunlight in over a month that were still green and looking brand new.

I'll be finishing up in the morning, and I'll take pics of the stump. Hers is pretty standard.
